Post office drops at the resorts?

Is there a place for me to drop off outgoing mail at the Pop Cen?

I'm sure there is. At any hotel, I just ask at the check-in desk and usually they just take it for you. Ask when you check in where you'd drop it off, but I wouldn't worry about there being a place. They probably even sell stamps in the gift shop (they asked me when I was just at All Star Sports if I needed them to go with the postcards I was buying).

there is a mailbox ... between the desks in the lobby and everything pop. it's in a little alcove by the door, along with an ATM machine.

there are also numerous mailboxes in the parks. a lot of people don't notice them because they mistake them for theming.

and yes, disney postage stamps are available in the gift shop.

Thanks to both of you My nephew loves getting mail so I want to send him several postcards while I'm at WDW. I always intend to send him one at DL, but I get distracted lol

For an extra-special treat, get a Mickey Mouse postcard and address it to your nephew (but don't write anything to him) and have Mickey autograph it, for him - either on the front or back! (Use a sharpie if on the front, though!)

I've done this for a couple of my nephews and other family friends at various times! It is sometimes hard finding character postcards, though!

Yup, there is a mailbox where BradK mentioned (I was staying at Pop like two weeks ago).

I hope you have better luck with the postcards then I did. I mailed out 11 postcards and I think only two of them reached there destinations so far and that was at least 3 weeks ago. (but then again I do live in Canada and I did put on twice as many stamps).

I'm not really worried about them making it back before I do, my nephew lives about 4 hours from me so he won't be seeing me right away. That sucks that it's taking so long for yours to get there!

There are frequently long delays in mail going out from WDW, as the mail has to be collected from the boxes throughout the property, sent through the central WDW mail facility and finally be routed to the USPS. It can take upwards of a week to leave Disney property.

Thanks Mark for the info. I hope all of my postcards make it back to Canada!

FWIW, I did send a letter from Pop to NYC and it got there within a few days, but mileage will vary.

also, if you go to the World of Memories store in DTD, they have metered postage marks that feature Tink. a little something extra. your letters have to be ready to be mailed for that though.

I think FL mail in general is VERY slow. It takes a week to get a package from my grandmother who sends it PRIORITY (from Fort Lauderdale area).

There's also a full-size mailbox at Downtown Disney outside the World of Disney store. It's at the corner of the building that faces the parking lot, right where you walk into the Marketplace at its main entrance, opposite Basin.

I already have postcard stamps, so maybe I'll drop a few of my cards there.

We mailed a post card signed by Mickey from Frontierland on our last trip. It was going to a co worker's daughter. It took about a week to get here in Baton Rouge.
