A couple of years ago. However, they will make the reservation but will not guarantee the rate.
I made a reservation for December 23, 1999 in 1992. There were a few price increases before I arrived.

But I live less than 20 miles from Walt Disney World! And work there part-time.

A few? LOL!Originally Posted by Cheshire Figment
It was not really too bad. I think they started at about $150, and the price I ended up paying was $208. The nice thing was that year December 23 was still in value season, and there was a Magic Kingdom Club discount applied. We stayed 11 nights, through 1/3/00. Since we checked in during value season we got that rate (and it was a park view tower room) for our entire stay. People arriving a few days later got hit with the millinnium NYE rate of $485 for a tower room.

Depending on the time of year, saying a very peak season, the earlier the better. We usually go off season and book from a year to 6 months in advance.
