I think your friend would have to arrange for it. You need to attach it to a reservation AFAIK.

Do you have a room registered, or are you just visiting your friend's CP apartment?

I believe you need to associate it with a room reservation. They can also do this online as well.

Wether or not you can do the DME ressie attached to the room ressie is unknown since the room ressie is not in your name.

The search function is like the Force. It may take practice, but the more you use it, the more control you will have over it!

She would need to register, but if she sends you luggage tags (bright yellow tags with a bar code on it, and her name on it), you can attach it to your luggage, and it should make it to the room. The only issue may be check in, because they need to see the packet, which has the registration information.

She has to work the day I'm flying in, but she's going to try and check into the hotel before her shift starts. We just can't figure out how I'll get a key. Does anyone know if I'm listed as a guest in the room if I can get a key at the front desk? She's going to ask about the DME and if the CP people can't answer her question I'm going to call the travel dept.

assuming she's already in FL, I'd have her call DME with her res # and provide your flight information. as mentioned, she will get the packet, but she can forward it (and the labels) on to you. otherwise, if you don't want to use the luggage tags, you can handle the luggage yourself (or you might even be able to get away with giving the claim ticket info / photos / descriptions of the luggage to the DME check-in desk).

Believe it or not, DME is much simpler now.

If your name is on the reservation (you do not need to be the lead Guest, but booked in the same room) you do not need her to do it. Just go to Disneysmagicalexpress.com and fill out the form with your contact information, the reservation number and the flight information, along with your address. Do not enter her information, just the reservation number. DME will go behind the scenes and attach the request to her booking. It's much more direct than having her set it up and mailing it up to you, and takes the pressure off of her, too, in case the printing is delayed.

If you are listed as a Guest on the reservation, all you have to do is stop by the front desk and ask for a key to the room. They will give it to you with a photo ID.
