I caught the episode last night -- how on earth did I miss at least one episode?? I want to ask how many epidodes I missed but I guess y'all couldn't know that, hmm?
Lane is back home and out-Mrs. Kimming-Mrs. Kim -- what happened?
I know Logan's sis previously offered Rory her condolences on their breakup but did I miss another confrontation between Rory and Logan?
I'm bummed.

Oh man! Did I miss a new episode? I hate it when the shows I like start showing reruns, then all of a sudden they pop in a new one! I spent my 'Gilmore Girl' hour watching a Discovery Channel thing called 'Chasing Nature' where they built a 60 foot tall spider web to catch a balloon thing dressed like a fly! (My 9 year old picked out the show-not entirely boring- pretty funny!) Anybody who can fill me in would be appreciated!

I missed two episodes!
I found a fan site that has episode recaps, but I caught last night's episode AND...... We ordered local channels through satellite so the DVR will now work on local channels and I will never miss GG AGAIN!
From what I gathered, Logan and Rory were taking a break when Rory got that phone call from his sister. His sister told Rory that Logan told sister they had broken up. Rory was upset because she thought it was just a break.
I thought it was a great episode but it has me really nervous about the rumors that there's going to be a wedding but it might not be Luke and Lorelai's.
I loved the scene when Mrs. Kim just sat Lane down and said, "ok, you've grieved, it's overwith, time to move on."

Rory's back at Yale living in a Ghetto apartment with Paris who is the dictator of the school paper. Yale required Rory to see a psych since she left school abruptly and now she'll be seeing him once a week for awhile because right before she saw him, she had a confrontation with Logan.
Lorelai and Sookie started wedding plans. Lorelai was really not into it until they walked into a bridal shop and found THE PERFECT wedding dress. Within an afternoon they had the entire wedding planned.
Luke has recently found out he had a daughter he never knew about? She's about 13. She apparently contacted him without her mother knowing, I missed how. Luke visited her mother. She said, we're doing fine, you didn't want kids, dont' worry about us. Luke has decided he wants to get to know his daughter. End of the episode it appears he's going to dump all the daughter news on Lorelai.

To me, it appeared that they were actually filming outside, without the best equipment/lighting. You're right, it did have a "quality" about the scene.
What did everyone think of the "perfect" dress. Lorelai's (Lauren) got a killer figure but, and who am I to talk??, the dress looked better on the hanger!
Now I can't wait 'til the reruns to see what I missed. That drives me crazy! My daughter gave me the latest DVD set 'cause it was bugging me that I missed Emily and Richard's wedding and, I thought, one other episode. Before I even got aorund to watching the thing, here came the wedding episode again and again and again on TV. And, in reading the synopsises (that word can't be correct ? synopses ?anybody care) I think that was the only episode that I missed. Sometimes, they take these leaps and I think I missed stuff but the segue between scenes is miniscule.

YES! I thought the same thing. I thought, "Maybe this is just a bad angle and I'm missing something?"

The GG freaks in my house discussed the horrible dress ad nauseum last night and came to the conclusion that proper undergarments would likley fix the problem...maybe...it WAS better on the hanger
BUT that said...
I think that Lorelai's belief that it was all too perfect and easy is a massive anvil and that she and Luke WILL get married..but not the way it is planned now.
plus..they HAVE to use the Chuppah that Luke built for her!!

First of all: Having my DVR set up to my local channels: PRICELESS!
Luke not telling Lorelai- I don't understand why people don't communicate. First he didn't tell her. Now Lorelai is pretending she's ok postponing the wedding when she's not. COMMUNICATE PEOPLE.
Re: Paris. WHAT a freak.
Re: Logan - OK, I know the boy has more money than any human needs. OBVIOUSLY. But seriously. Who actually sends a girl a go-gillion bouquets of flowers? So trite it's annoying. Probably made moreso because no one has ever bought ME a go-gillion bouquets of flowers to impress ME or to try to kiss up to ME. Maybe I'm too easy. Doc sent me one bouquet of "I messed up" flowers once and that was all it took... hmm....
But I digress. I want to know what her mother's letter said and I want to know why the girl said she'd have dinner with him. The only acceptable answer is "So she could tell him once and for all to bug off."

I know!! What did the letter say??? I hope it is not one of those great TV mysteries. Hopefully, they will say next time. I have been watching season 3 on DVD and Paris's current state reminds me of when she was School President. I wonder if Rory will end up taking her place. I wish Lorelai would have told Luke. I really like their relationship and I hate when TV creates all these obstacles. Eevn Ross and Rachel got together in the end!

I kept thinking that if anyone should understand not telling their potential partner about an update on a past relationship, it should be Lorelai. She didn't know how to tell Luke about going over to Christopher's and was afraid of his reaction. Well, ditto Luke about telling about his daughter (geez, I'm confusing myself!)
If they don't figure this stuff out now - goodbye marital bliss.

Broken record here: New episode tonight. I just watched a preview on the TV Guide site and there's a Friday night dinner with everybody yelling and demanding apologies of Rory for moving in and moving out of the pool house and being spoiled and ungrateful and.... Sounds like a good time, huh??
(And, yes, I should be working instead of watching the TV Guide videos and posting all over MP!)

Gilmore Girls or State of the Union?? Well that's easy!!! I actually thought to myself, "oh good, its on WB. It won't be preempted!"

Exactly! We Gilmore Girls think alike, huh?!
Sooo, what'd ya think? Loved the argument but maybe not the way it was shot. Luke - oh dear! How could he say that about April coming from ?5 to 8, so Lorelai, you come after 8?? Logan - hmmm? Paris - nervous breakdown time, with Rory becoming the editor. Previews for next week - do I hear wedding bells for Rory, oh my?!?!

Yeah, I liked the arguemnet but was cinfused during the frist three segemnts of it. It looks like they hashed out all their problems. I'm not sure how/why they got roped into Fri night dinners again. I really like the Luke/Lorelai relationship and hope it works out. I wonder if it will be good or bad that she didn't cancel everything. I hope he comes around. He is acting pretty selfishly but Lorelai hasn't exactly piped up with her feelings either. Next week looks good but they have a way of teasing us with false promos. I actually think it looks like Rory is pregnant, but I have been led down that road before. Maybe she gets the editor job, or turns down the editor job. I can't imagine Paris can go back into power without some major sucking up. She didn't even seem to realize what had happened when Rory took over. Only six more days until another episode!!!

Figuring out the mom thing
I think Paris also emailed a version of the paper, and that her version will be the one printed. teehee

Good one tonight!! I knew Logan was a snake. Sleeping with 3 girls in that short time is not really something you can move past. It did ring of the Ross/Rachel "we were on a break" storyline though.
What is up with Lorelai?? She needs to tell Luke how she feels about April. He needs to start including her. I didn't really get the whole Lane/Zach engagement. I may have missed the fight episode. I was also worried that Rory and Doyle would hook up. I am glad they didn't. It must be a rerun next week- no previews

Ok - I missed the very end on my VCR (yes, I'm still using that old-fashioned method) - what went on between Rory and Paris? I saw Rory going in and that was it.
-

I'm down with a virus, so I'm a little fuzzy but here goes...
Paris thought Rory came because she (P) had broken up with Doyle and she welcomed her (R) with open arms, literally. Rory told her the truth and Paris invited her to share the five tons of Chinese food she had just ordered, and then to stay there in the apartment. Last scene was Rory calling Lorelai and telling her she had a change of address for her. (Waaay too many she and hers in those sentences but you git the gist.)
This is what stayed with me...I'll have to see if I taped over it yet and watch it again. Yes, I still use a VCR.

Thanks, Les - followed it perfectly.
Oh, and Lane getting engaged was too perfect -especially the way she was 'working' right afterwards!

Yup- I use that old school VCR too!! I actually went out and bought a universal remote (a cheap one) because I lost my VCR remote and could not tape the WB without it. It still only tapes like 10 channels, but the WB is one and the only thing I ever tape is GG!
Leslie gave a good synposis. I really hope Rory doesn't forgive Logan.

LOVED tonight's epsiode! I laughed through the whole thing! Lorelai really needs to tell Luke! I was hoping Logan would die, but it looks like no such luck. I died at Mrs Kim's sex speech. You know what is weird- where is Mr Kim??

I was loving Mrs. Kim's speech, too. And I'd never thought about Mr. Kim - hmmmm.
And I thought it was so cute when she told Lane (Laine?) that she was going to put in the good earplugs so they could celebrate all night! At least she let her daughter have that part of her own wedding.
Totally agree about Logan - hopefully this won't cause Rory to come running back to him.
