Step 2 complete - Dining Reservations

Yes, yes.. I'm starting to get excited. My friend Dave and I are headed down to DLR for a buddy trip on March 1st through 4th. Step 1 was, of course, making reservations. Today, being that we are within 60 days of the trip now was to make dining reservations.

March 2nd at Blue Bayou for lunch and March 3rd at Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. Aside from the parks, which I'm sure I have a good handle on, my friend is a bit of a gourmand - and I'm not sure we're going to have enough time to visit all of the restaurants we want to try..

Ralph Brennans, ESPN Zone, Rainforest Cafe, House of Blues - not to mention Granville's. So we have some decisions to make and that doesn't even include the other "in the park" places we want to try including Lobster Nachos at the Cove Bar and The Wine Country Trattoria..

Oh well.. this is a nice problem to have.

The Cove Bar is under Ariel's Grotto, facing the California Screamin' roller coaster in DCA.

I'm not a big fan of Rainforest Cafe. We have one here in Seattle. I've gone several times and never been impressed. The ambiance is amazing (very Disney-esqe), but that is the only thing I really like. Although the appetizer platter is pretty good.

I did really like House of Blues in Orlando and the menu at ESPN Zone actually looked pretty good. It gets crazy in DtD around meal times though, so watch out!

I'm not a huge fan of the lobster nachos at the Cove Bar. The nachos themselves are decent, but the lobster meat leaves much to be desired. I'd rather they just left the lobster off and lowered the price a bit. Of course, I'd really rather they went back to serving what they served when Puck's was running it...

I have never been there when the Cove bar was open

And I just LOVE the Rainforest Cafe. I have been at the one at DLP, the one at Southcoast Plaza, I have been to one in DFW and to the one at DTD. I think the one at DTD is the best-themed of all (sure, decorations costed about 3 times as much as on the other RFCs) and my mom and I just loved the shrimp-pizza (it had a fancier name though). Whenever we talk about going back to California and Disneyland this year, we always add "and go eat a shrimp pizza at RFC!"

I had never been to Rainforest Cafe until our trip in December. I really enjoyed it. We had no plans to go there, but one of my friends was hungry and offered to pay, so who am I to say no .

I don't know and I don't care if It's a Small World. It's a nice day when you wake up in Disneyland.
