I bought mine to use as part of my wedding proposal.......unfortunately it wasn't installed as they had suggested. It was supposed to be installed in March, so I planned to propose over the brick on my spring break trip. Of all the bricks in my section, two were blank. After looking at them for hours like an idiot, I asked a CM why mine wasn't there as promised. She told me they were putting them in as fast as they could but that they didn't have as much time to do them with all of the record crowds. She assured me that if they said it would be done in March it would definetely be done for my next trip in May.

I held off on the proposal until May (only 4-5 weeks later) because I was dead set on using "our" brick as part of the proposal. Unfortunately, the same thing happened in May. Once my fiance began asking why we were looking at all of the bricks again (she couldn't figure out why i was looking at them so intently two trips in a row - I told her I was curious to see what people put on their bricks) and what had me soooooo upset.....I decided to go another route for the proposal (the ring was burning a hole in my pocket by now). After my revised proposal I told her about the brick and how I had planned to use it. She was so excited about the brick that she made me go over to City Hall to see what was going on. After many apologies, the CM at City Hall told me that brick had been damaged and that it was scheduled for the next installation.

It seems like a repeat....but I went in October and the same thing happened again. No brick and no sign that anybody had an idea of what was going on. I went to City Hall again and they gave me the name of a specific CM to talk to from Magical Walk of Memories. This young lady was very helpful and very apologetic that my proposal didn't go as planned. She offered to send me one of the plastic miniatures of my brick for free and told me that my brick would be installed in late November. I left this conversation very satisfied and excited to see my brick on my annual x-mas trip the second week of December.

I was at Disneyland the 15th-17th and still no brick . I'm sure they are just swamped with all of the 50th stuff but I just want a straight answer. They didn't need to feed me some false date just to make me happy at that moment. They are lucky that I didn't plan my trips just to see the brick. At any rate, I have the miniature now, my finace loved the idea, and I'm sure I'll have a brick at some future date which will help make that particular Disney trip more special. Until then, we can continue our running joke of my "blank" brick.

We have one that was given to us as a wedding present that has our name and wedding date. Interestingly enough, we also got as a wedding present from another couple a square or whatever you call it at Epcot, so we're bicoastal!

    That worked!

I'm actually "bi-coastal" with the walkway bricks. My wife and I bought one at Disneyland to commemorate our wedding and my parents purchased one at Walt Disney World and included my name on it. My wife and I also do have our picture on the "Leave a Legacy" wall at Epcot too.

Can you still buy those bricks???
When I was at DL in 2002, you could buy them, there were forms everywhere to order one, but at that time, I didn't have the money. When I went in October, I didn't see anything anymore about buying a brick, so I figured they must have stopped it.
Can anyone give me some information about it? Where? How? How much?

Yes, ours is also dated July 17th, 2005 and it's in great location. We visit it everytime we go.

We get to see ours in just a few days, for the first time since ordering back in March. I e-mailed the folks after my install date, and was assured that the brick had been installed. I am the only one who knows, SURPRISE!

After visiting florida and seeing how tore up all those bricks where! we opted for the potrait on the leave a legacy sculpture! I really notice at both parks that the leave a legacy type of thing should be used more often. This visit at DL resort there were alot of torn out 50th emblems on those bricks and were crumbled!! SAD!!

When I saw those bricks, I wondered "why do they have a "hole" in them?", I didn't realize it were torn-out emblems...

I have one. I ordered it in (I think) April and it was in in time for July 17. I noticed a lot of missing emblems when I was out there 12/23. I wonder if DLR is doing anything about them.

I bought one for my granddaughter and I when we were there in June...says Sharon and Krystle...ours too is a great location....and the map they sent made it so easy to find!!

We got to see it for the first time when we went back in November...and we took pictures of course. I also purchased the replica...the wooden one...for her...and it is nice also.

Am keeping my eyes peeled for cheap airline tickets ... ready to go back!!

We got one with the 50th medallion. It is supposed to be installed with the next round of installs either this month or next month I think. We got the wooden replica and it is pretty cool.

    Smile We've got one too!!

Our brick was supposed to have been installed at the end of 2004, but was delayed by several months (seems to be a common story!) and was finally put in, in 2005. We've taken photos of it and visited it many times since.

Our brick has the 50th medallion, our names, our wedding date (27 years this May - woo hoo!!) and the city we live in on it.

We bought one on our trip last May, and were told it would be installed in November. We planned a trip specifically to see it on New Year's weekend. I even called about 3 weeks before our trip to make sure it would be there, since that was the purpose of the trip. They assured me that yes, the brick had arrived and had been placed. Sooooo....New Year's weekend we head down from Northern California, search for the brick, and guess what.....no brick! In the entire area where our brick was to be, they were all in except for ours, and one other, which had no writing on them at all. We headed to City Hall and were told to call Disney Delivears...guess what....they're closed till Tuesday because of the holiday! So we get home, I call on Tuesday, and the very nice lady says that the information she has shows that is was installed, but she will send someone out to physically look and see it. I got a call back early that evening and was told that we were right, there was a brick there with nothing written on it....invisible ink!!! So she turned it over to her supervisor, who called me back 3 days later and told me that our brick had been damaged and is on a rush order and scheduled to be placed with the next installation which will be next month. I know they can't possibly keep track of every single brick that is damaged and replaced, but I sure wish they would offer those of us to make a trip to see NOTHING, some sort of compensation....park passes....something!...so that we can go back and actually see it.

My neighbor bought one, and had us look it up on our last trip. It was cracked, and several of the bricks around it were loose or damaged. It seemed to have been replaced on this trip. I'd like to know if they still sell them too. I didn't see anything about it. All the promotions were for the vacation time shares and the Disney Visa card (which I got)
