    Ack... dummy award winner

I waited, and put off, then just plain forgot.

I need two nights at a WDW resort on Jan. 6 & 7 before our OKW reservations begin on the 8th. Welp - guess what - nothing available anywhere except at All Star Sports and Saratoga Springs.

This is per one of the Disney vacation travel agencies advertised around these and other websites parts.....

Haven't called WDW yet - they are my next call.

Any suggestions, other than book at All Stars? Nothing against that place, just not my cup of tea. Of course, since I left it so long I may be drinking my tea there!

I'd grab any availability while you work on the problem, considering the dates. Most of the travel agents will keep checking back for you and try to get you something but better the proverbial reservation in the hand.

The WDW site only shows availability at Saratoga Springs. You could rent more points and stay at a DVC cheaper than rack rate. You could even rent points at OKW and just stay there for the entire trip. I don't know what the availability is, though. Probably nil. You could (gasp) stay offsite but surely AllStars would be better than that -- and make you appreciate OKW even more.

yeah - I shot back and email to the gal at mouseears vacations to hold the All Stars for us....meanwhile called WDW reservations - they only had OKW (grand villa ) and Saratoga Springs and Boardwalk available. No All Stars according to their computers.

I'm hoping to just get All Stars and by some stroke of luck find myway into a room at PORS or PRFQ between now and then. There is also the Courtyard by Marriott just outside of Downtown Disney....

    I'm skeert!!!!!!!!

    Good luck with your situation!

I'm really amazed at how much everything is booking up - I tried from mid Sept to Friday (the 2nd) to get a room at POFQ for the 3rd, and ended up moving to POR for the one night (which I was able to book in Sept). Fortunately, they did have a room available for me when I checked in (before 9 am), so I didn't have to mess with the front desk after watching Spectromagic at 11 pm!

You hopped over to MK after the MousssseFest? Wow. Of course, I'm not one to talk, since I went over to the Doubletree for the Hill and Korkis show.

It was wonderful meeting you (and everyone else) in person. I hope you had a great trip home. Mine was a bit of an ordeal, but I'm too wiped to go through it now.

    Stories and photos later. zzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzzz.......

I was just trying to look at the weekend of the 17/18, and saw a HUGE difference in the rooms it would show me on a three-night trip, vs a 1-night trip that was included in those three. I think the on-line tool doesn't let you see everything if your trip is too short. (At least that's my current theory)

When I was playing around with reservations online for MouseFest, availability changed dramatically depending on your dates and number of nights.

I still want to understand why Les could get AllStars through MouseEars but WDW Reservations didn't have AllStars availability. Do Disney Travel Specialists get a certain number of rooms blocked? (Yes, I know I'm supposed to be studying this but I still haven't gotten to the College of Disney Knowledge)

Les - we really enjoyed them back on Residential Street. As Mark and several others have mentioned, they are pretty good in their new location and not overwhelming the space as much this year after some adjustments. If you have the chance to go over, go for it.

Tell ya what. Wait until after the article runs on Wednesday with a larger copy of the photo, and I'll tell you then when you can actually see the faces. And brazen wench, could you email or PM me so that I can list a correct photo credit in the story?
