    Fantasmic logistics

My sisters and I are going to DL the 15-17. We are planning on seeing F! for the first time since it debuted which my youngest sis does not even remember. My mom HATED sitting on the ground and vowed to never do it again so now that we are adults and can choose ourselves F! here we come!! We are planning on seeing the second show but does this sound feesible?
Dinner 5:30-6:30ish at Storyteller's (another first!!)
TL with some fastpasses gotten before dinner 7:00-8:30ish
cross hub or train (advice please!!) before 9pm to avoid fireworks standstill.
a ride or two in AL/FL to 9:30
head to Rivers of America for seats 9:30
One questin is, if we do JC and Indy while waiting for the first show to end will we get pushed out to the hub in the one way traffic or will we be able to go to ROA since we are already in AL? Are we better off doing BTMRR and POC or HM in this time? We are trying to avoid a big jam up but stay in the same general area during this time. Advice please?!

Why do people go on The Amazing Race without bothering to learn how to drive a stick shift?

Stick with attractions that are on the west side of the viewing area - POTC, HM, Splash, Pooh. I've seen them hold people at the Disney Gallery / Treehouse entrance to the Rivers of America when the early show is full.

Coming from someone who had to work F! for quite a while, youre best bet is definatly what AVP mentioned. It can be such chaos in that area at that time of night...Pay attention to the fact as well as that once the 1st show is over, no one will be moving in the ROA area because they are waiting for Fireworks at 925p...HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME!!!

On a side note..I hope that you are meaning DEC and not NOV of the dates forementioned?

I was there in October and here's what I did:
    1) Watched the 9:25 fireworks show from the west side of the hub
    2) AS SOON AS the fireworks were over I headed for Frontierland. They wouldn't actually let us into the Rivers of America area yet, since they were waiting for more people to leave after the fireworks.
    3) Once I got to Frontierland I went to the Mark Twain loading area to wait for the CMs to let us by. Once they dropped the ropes I went to the bridge over the Pirates entrance and had a perfect spot to watch. Nobody in front of me, no obstructions, and I only had to stand there for 20-30 minutes.

We did a similar thing in October - but stood right behind the reserved riverside seating area (between the Fantasmic! Mickey Collage and Tom Sawyer Island) - again, right up against the railing with people sitting in the level below us.

Thanks! That sounds like a good plan. If I got there by 8:30ish would I be okay (half hour before the first show) or do we need to get over there sooner?

Oops- sorry to double post but I just reread this!! So realistically, we shouldn't start closing in on seats until 9:45ish after the fireworks?? Coming from TL would the train be our best bet? I hate to say it but I hate Primevel World and would like to avoid it but I think I hate stepping over people more!!

LOL... I understand what you mean about stepping over people!
945-950 sounds about right..start pushing your way through to get to seats that people are leaving..When I was "posted" at the front of F! As soon as guests were leaving others would come and take their spots.
As for the train, it can be iffy, its still a timing issue really...becuase once you step off the train at NOS the flow of guests being ushered out of the West Side of the park will take you behind the actual seating for the show. Whether you take the train or are already over on that side, its best to walk in front of HM down at the river and take the walk way that will be there by the seawall...you will find that this will be a great way to sweep the entire area for a great spot w/o having to get caught up in the flow of guests above you! Check out the lay of the land so to speak (w/ no pun inteded ) so that once you have to deal with it that night you will know exactly where you need to be... Also, dont be afraid to ask a CM in the "bumblebee" F! jackets!

PS... I love your pic!! lol
