November AP hotel rates from prev years
Just wondering if any Ap holders remember if november last year they had the hotel rates discounted like this month was. Im going nov 11-16 so I figured it would be a slow part for the season. In all the years Ive never made a nov-decmeber visit. Thanks

We have gone the week after Thanksgiving for the past 4 years and they have always had AP rates available. I have a feeling this year that they might not have any AP rates this year. They have been few and far between with the 50th.

Friday November 11th is the start of a three day weekend (Veteran's Day), and it is also the start of Disneyland's official Christmas season, with iaswh opening, and the snow effect being added to the Fireworks.
Expect it to very busy Friday thru Sunday. The 14th thru 16th should be a lot less busy.
You might want to split your booking, or find a hotel that will allow different rates on the same reservation.
I know that HoJo's does that...

You also get a great discount, currently 25% for AP holders.

I guess Ive just picked the best times to go this year to get the AP rates, I just hate staying at another hotel, blahhhh
Well hopefully Ill luck out I got 89 bucks for memorial day weekend at disneyland hotel so maybe the holiday thing wont matter.

We stayed at the GCH for six nights, starting the day after Thanksgiving. We had AP rates of $199 for the weekend and $179 for the weekdays. We are going during the same time this year and we are hoping for ANY AP discount deeper than 10%!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I forget, there is a BIG (22,000 expected) Dance and Cheer event that weekend in Anaheim......

Isnt that wonderful. The only reason Im going that weekend is because of the Shag map. I guess the week days should be slow though because everyones in school.

The holiday is on Friday, not the usual Monday, so the weekdays should be fairly quiet.

Well....
I wouldn't count on there being much available during that time. I'm going Nov. 14-18 and the ONLY Disney hotel with ANY kind of availability at all is the Disneyland hotel (standard rooms only). There's nothing available at all at PP or GCH. I suppose they could make rooms available at the last minute, but it looks like they are pretty booked right now.
-
We are booked at the PP from the 12-16. We booked through Expedia and got the 4th night free. Average room rate is $139. Not great, but the best deal we could find at the time. We booked about a month ago.
I'm hoping to get an AP rate if they do that. If the rates are less than $130/night it will be worth the $25 Expedia cancellation fee.

Thats better that DLR could offer, they got me at 216 for theme park view at PP Id rather have that at 130 LOL. Ive got to Nov 8 so If push comes to shove Ill just book off property but I really dont want to.
-
As side note about theme park vs. city view rooms...We never pay more for the room view. We never book anything more than the basic standard city view room. We have always gotton park view (PP) or DTD view (DLH) rooms when we checked in. I think this is because we drive down so early that we do early check in. We usually check in before 10am, leave our bags and go to the park until around 4pm. Then we go check out our room and relax a bit before heading back out for dinner.

Ouch!! Hopefully, they stay at the convention center for the competition
I know, wishfully thinking on my part since we are there from 11/9 - 11/13. Oh well... we will still be at the Happiest Place on Earth - just with a LOT more people!
