We have stayed there a couple of times and we have always received the best of service. The rooms are nice and spacious and as was stated before the beds are very comfortable. If you can get a park view room, the view is wonderful especially at night. Housekeeping is top notch, when ever we needed something they were very prompt in delivering it to us. The PCH Grill has good food. My husband has eaten at the Yamabuki and liked it very much. They also have a Victorian style tea room with Mary Poppins who serves you tea.

We've stayed there I believe 4 times. It is a very nice hotel and service is top notch. You should definitely go for it. Get the park view if you can, it is so wonderful to look at DCA at night with all the lights on.

We have stayed there a few times. One time was at Christmas and we had reservations for the Christmas dinner at the grand ballroom of the Disneyland Hotel. We were dressed up and the girls had heels on and it was a bit on the chilly side so the walk started looking very unappealing. We called the bell captian desk and explained the situation. No problem they met us at the lobby door and shuttled us to the DLH main entrance with instructions to call for our ride " home" which we did. The service has always been superior , as one CM told me they are looked upon as the step sister of the property hotels so they always try harder!

Trip Advisor has Paradise Pier ranked 24th out of 98th hotels for Anaheim...

    http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...alifornia.html

Looks like you could do a lot better for a better price staying off-property...

If you really want to stay on property, my favorite is the Disneyland Hotel...

We stayed there in March and we were very surprised with the view. It was wonderful!!! Unfortunately that was all that was wonderful about the hotel. Even my 15 year old who rarely has anything to say about our Hotel choice asked to never stay there again. I am a firm believer in staying on property but I would say if this is the only on property hotel that fits in your price range stay off property.

We love the PP hotel Get the park view, it is sooooo much nicer than the non-park view. Getting back to the hotel may be a long walk at night after DCA closes - that IMHO would be the only real drawback.

This was our second time staying there. The first time was the year that Disney aquired the hotel. We had read about all the renovations and were really looking forward to checking it out. I cannot stress enough about the view! Really try to get an upper floor.
The housekeeping was marginal. When we came back to the room at 5 our room was still not made up. This happened 3 of the 6 days. The front desk staff was just not very knowledgeable, which is okay as long as they at least try and find answers for you but this was not something they would do unless we actually said "can you find out for us?" We asked about early entrance and if the monorail would take us into the park or did we have to walk to the front entrance. The castmember told us she didn't know and turned around and left. We had to get another castmember who also didn't offer to find out. As I mentioned the view was incredible. We all thought it was the best view we had ever had. When they say you can watch the Electrical Parade from your room they really mean it.(Its not the same as being there but was a fun change) We also felt that the walk to and from the monorail was a bit much. Not bad on day 1,2, or 3 but after that it seemed to get longer and longer. The elevators were acting up the whole trip. A castmember told us that this was fairly common. It was not uncommon to wait 10 to 15 minutes. All in all we still had a great time(We were at Disneyland after all) but my family would never pay to stay there again.

We have stayed there many times and have never had any problems--we always wait for the good off season AP rates. I do think the upper view rooms are much better than the standard ones, of course, but I'm a view person. We never schlep to the monorail while there--it's much faster to cut through the GC and on to DCA or DL. It's only a few minutes difference between the GC and PPH if heading to DCA.

what a terrible stay!! we had planned for a year about that week end and it ended up to be the most stressful and most ruined Disneyland stay we ever had! First they gave our room to someone else, then they said that it was the wdtc that messed up with our reservation and gave us their "only" room available on the 6th floor while we had reserved and paid for concierge level room on high floor since january!! more arguing with the manager... no turn down service either night! the next morning our key doesnt open the concierge lounge! then we re told to get our stuff ready for bell service so we can be moved to a family suite on the 14th floor that will be open by 3pm... when we return around 4 from the park (we had left the morning at 10:30) the bell service calls in the suite to say that a pipe of the pool leaked on our belongings and that some stuff are ruined! my daughters gift magical music 6cd set, her disney teddy, my brothers and nephews clothes, 2 pillows, my brothers laptop case was damp! we spend 3 hours in the room shouting on the phone and finally we get back to the park for the evening with the assurance that our laundry was being taken care of and that we would be called on the cell when it would be back in the room... no phone call.... when we come back in the room around 11:30 , we re told that the clothes just came back! it has been washed at the dlh at the guest facilities still as ruined for some clothes! and no turn down service at all!
we were told upon check out meeting with manager that they would be happy to offer us our next stay at their hotel but really we dont think we want to stay at pph again...
that week end was july 22/7-24/7
it wasnt the happiest place on earth at all and created an anxious atmosphere among our party!
just our opinion on pph and we re in the process of writing them all the details to see how they can compensate that waste of time, energy and money spent on those 3 days!

dws 60, we had a very similar experience at the DLH last Oct. We had only a standard room and no concierge but, none the less is was not pleasant. There were problems with us not getting the room we wanted, problems with housekeeping, you name it, we had problems. Anywho, I did write a very respectful letter voicing our disappointment in our stay there. They replied with giving us a free upgrade to a suite at any of the DLR hotels for our next visit.

We've stayed at all three of the hotels many times, the PPH is usually booked solid at the AP rate when we go so we normally stay at the DLH. The only complaint we have (from the 4 times we have stayed) would be the elevators. Nothing is slower!!!!

The rooms have always been clean, spacious, staff friendly and cutting through DCA makes the walk to the parks very pleasant.

If you have an AP you really can 't beat the price.

Gotta make sure you have a park view room, its usually about 20 dollars more, but worth every penny.

Disneyland IS the Happiest place on Earth!

We stayed there last July, and the only problem we had was with the elevators. We were able to get an elevator when we left in the morning, but coming back at night was a mess. One night we got to the hotel lobby at 12:15am and didn't get to our room on the 11th floor till around 12:30. One of the elevators was down most of our stay, and the rest were really slow. Other than that, everything was great. Never had a problem with the staff, room, or room service. I would definitely stay there again.

I think the walk from PP is a little far. I mean you are walking as far as you would if you stayed at an off property hotel across the street from the resort. So why not save the money? We had a similar experience with the elevators as well. I wouldn't recomend it at all.

I'm sure I must of missed something but, I can assure you after being married to a firefighter for 25 years now, firefighters do not make 100K+. They make chump change for putting their lives in danger and sometimes losing their lives for the public. You will be very disappointed GrumpyUTboi.
