Stuff we got from AAA Vacations..

Excitedly finishing preparations for our trip tomorrow and thought I'd share a couple of things we got from AAA vacations.

I don't know if everyone gets the same ones (and these just have the AAA logo added) or if these are a AAA exclusive, but we are using our 50th Anniversary tinkerbell luggage tags.

Also, I got the embossed 50th anniversary numbered certificate.

You can see them on my site: http://www.thompent.com/disney2005/

    Did everyone get these?

Also, I got the cool map from opening day 50 years ago, but I just haven't tried to tackle scanning it as it will be a multi part picture to put together..

Can you take a digital picture of it?

We got our package through WDTC and it looks like the only difference is the AAA logo. Have fun!

Ok, I actually scanned the map area and put the pictures together.. so the actual map is one picture and the Disney Dining and other text is on the other picture.. Enjoy!

    Of particular note.

"Coca Cola Fountain - Main Streat" and
"Pepsi Cola Golden Horseshoe Bar - Frontierland"

See - why can't we all just get along?

Cool Pat&Eli!!! The luggage tag is a replica of my Disney Chase Visa card.
That map is very fun~and there's no way I'm gonna let our niece color it after the trip! That puppy is mine!!!

I have to ask a couple dumb questions. I've asked them before on a thread and didn't get an answer
What is AAA? Do I need to have my home or car insurance thru them in order to book my next trip to DL? Do I just join and pay dues? How much?

Thanks Pat&Eli for the pics, now I want that stuff too!

"AAA" stands for American Automobile Association. They were primarily a company that provided roadside assistance and have grown into a company that provides all sorts of travel assistance. Your dues depend upon the level of coverage you desire. A AAA membership also entitles you to discounts from certain hotels, attractions, retailers and restaurants. You can also obtain free maps and guidebooks from AAA offices. They also sell vacation packages and auto/homeowners insurance. It's a handy little card to have in your wallet.

    www.aaa.com, I believe.

    Out with a buddy!

American Auto Association. Anyone can join for a fee...not sure what it is yearly although I renewed mine about 2 months ago...sorry...
I think the only way you can book a AAA trip is to be a member...at least that is what I've been told at AAA.
You do not have to have their insurance to join, and you can get maps, trip routes, travel books with motel and rest. listings for anyplace you want to go!
    They also include towing etc...
I think it was about $59 but I am not sure, for the year!

I hope you have a wonderful trip Pat&Eil!!! I hope the weather is good for you too!! But compared to Sacramento right now it should be heaven!!!

I have my renewal right here...it's due in a couple weeks.
Primary Member $49 or $79 for AAAPlus
Primary plus one (spouse or child) $79
    Primary plus two $109
    Primary plus three $138
You have to have your own card - you cannot give your card to someone who borrows your car to use if they need roadside assistance. You can however use it when riding in someone else's car and you get a flat tire or whatever. Thankfully, I've used mine more often for travel planning/maps than roadside assistance. I love being able to order maps online and they just mail 'em out to me.

If I'm not at work, then I'm probably making cards for Operation Write Home -- helping heroes stay connected with family & friends.

The fact that AAA covers you instead of your car is a very good benefit. My car insurance covers towing but only for that specific car. I like the piece of mind knowing that no matter what car I am in I wont get stuck without assistance. Very good investment.

Without a doubt it is the best $79 a year we spend. I love the service you get with being a member. We book all of our Disney and other trip through AAA. The roadside service is excellent. We have had to use it for towing and for locking the keys inside the car

We got the AAA package but didn't stay in a hotel (trailer). We didn't get the 50th Certificate or the map - but since we were there on July 17 we got that map on the back of our reguar DL map.

We got the Tink luggage tags (last year's tags were Beauty and the Beast).

I ordered Disneyland Passports only thru WDTC and got the luggage tags, premium seating (the DCA shows), 1 day EE, the ESPN $10 for each ticket, pins and lanyards, and a couple "Fun Books". Main difference, mine didn't have the AAA logos and I didn't pay extra for the room. (We stayed at the Anabella Hotel, $50 a night for a kids suite.)

Just to clarify, you don't get luggage tags for joining, you get them when you book a package. When you join AAA you just get a white card that lets you get some discounts. I am a member, but found I can book my own trips cheaper.

Interesting. I saw someone else with Beauty and the Beast tags this year. We got 4 of them (same with the Tink ones) and probably won't use them.

    Hmm... eBay time?
