Official WDW Gay-Day Disney Parks Fans Meetup!
This message is cross-posted to: GayDay, MousePlanet, MiceAge, LaughingPlace, WDWInfo, WDWMagic, Intercot, JimHillMedia
If you're an obsessed Disney Parks fan (like me) and you're going to be at WDW for Gay Day, you're invited to a Meetup Lunch with some of your fellow Disney Parks fanatics! Eat some shaved meat! Rant about Jim Hill and/or Al Lutz! Share stories! (Hey, I shook hands with Matt Ouimet at the DL 50th!) Share gossip! (An Indy ride at MGM?) Share theories! (More safety spiel on Spaceship Earth?) I look forward to seeing you there!

OIC. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the meetup is not official either, but I guess Chris can call it whatever he wants.

Disney has no official stance on Gay Days. They are not planned or coordinated by the Disney Company, however Disney does pride itself on its diversity so it in no way prohibits the gathering of these groups... hmmm. Can you tell that's what they told us to say?
But in all seriousness, there was nothing different about the park today except for a lot of red shirts. A lot of people didn't even know it was gay day. We actually unofficially released a pin (Not a gay day pin, but a limited edition rainbow Mickey pin).
The king and his men, stole the queen from her bed and bound her in her Bones. The seas be ours and by the powers where we will, we'll roam.

By "official", I meant that I was taking the lead here and devoting a fair amount of time and energy to organizing this. It was "official" for me, not "official" for Disney. The same way that Doug Swallow would say that his website is the "official" Gay Day info site.
The meetup, by the way, was a huge success. We got more folks than I expected, and we had a great time discussing all things Disney-park-related. I'll post some pics and a recap soon.
Thanks to everyone who attended!
