Urgent AP question
Hi everybody! This is my first post here after much time lurking and I have to say that this is one of the most active boards I've ever been to.. I mean.. 50 people were on around 3am pst
My question is regarding purchasing an annual pass. First the background story:
===Story===
My girlfriend and I were PAP holders until they expired in late march. Unfortunately we were under the impression that they expired in May so we inadvertently let them go.
Up until yesterday I had a pair of tickets available from a friend (5 day hopper with 2 days left) that he was going to allow us to upgrade for AP, however upon exiting the park, he was 'forced to sign the tickets' making them useable only by himself.
Anyway, now that I no longer have tickets to upgrade to AP, I'm looking at blowing the girlfriend's mad money and buying new PAPs outright.
===Question(s)===
Is there any benefit to buying PAPs online? I'd have to go to willcall to pick them up at this point.
Would it be better/easier to purchase them at the park?
Is there a possibility I might still get a renewal discount since we had previous PAPs even though they're already expired?
And lastly, is there any price difference or special on PAP with purchase on the web vs purchasing at the park?
Thanks! (especially if you read this entire post

My understanding is that you have a 60 day window to renew (30 days before & 30 days after). Since I assume that this has past you are not longer able to renew.
Depending on your touring habits, it might be benefical to buy a 3 -day hopper plus pass to get early entry and the $10 ESPN zone credit. Once you have gotten your $10 ESPN Zone game credit then upgrade to the AP.
-
Not really gonna use EE because we're going 4th through 8th and there's no EE on the 5th.. And ESPN was kinda lame last time I was there..
No benefit to buying online vs the park then?

Is it football season yet??
hmmm, well it would not make any plus to purchasing online or at the ticket window...the only that comes to mind (especially this late at night
) is that you wouldnt have to wait in such a long ticket window line (as opposed to the will call window)...
as for the discount, you can ask however I have always been under the impression that you are only able to receive that discount when renewing by mail or if you do it in person before the ap expires? can anyone correct me on this one?
have a great time!

The discount is only available if you renew before the AP expires. It doesn't matter wheather you do it by mail or at the park.
Do I have a name anymore? Everybody calls me Deogee's Mom, but I think at one time I was.....Lisa, yes that was it.

Go get them at your local Disney Store -- no wait. Just call first to make sure they have the one you want.

No benefit in doing it before hand.
Bad boy on wanting to use the parkhoppers your friend had. They are not transferable.
