Wet Park Hopper Ticket
We just returned 5 days ago from a wonderful 7 day trip. One thing that happened to us I'm sure happens to others and I want to save you all the time it took me to figure it out.
Our daughter ticket got wet on Grizzly River Run. It was in the plastic sleeve and we didn't realize it had gotten wet for about an hour, long enough for the bar code on back to get soggy. We really didn't think much of it until the next morning when we were getting into the park. The scanner wouldn't read it and they could barely read the numbers. Once the CM put in the right numbers and let us in I said "should I get a replacement ticket" and she nicely said "oh, we don't do that". Once in the park the ticket would not work in the fast pass machines. I went to city hall where they gave me a little "fast pass" card with a bar code to be able to be used that day, and I would have to come back eacy day to get a new one. Again, I was told they do not replace tickets. We booked through AAA and had unlimited fast pass and this ticket would not do that. She said just to show the CM at the Fast Pass line and they should let my daughter ride no problem. It was a problem. The not very nice CM at Buzz Lightyear told me there was no such thing at "unlimited fast pass" and that my daughter would have to stand in the regular line even thought the rest of us had fast passes.
Then another CM told me to try Annual Passes and after standing in line for 30 minutes they couldn't help either (although they were extremely nice about not helping me)
But on the way through DT Disney I went into WDTC and Jeff said "yes, we make new tickets" As long as you have the damamged one, they will make you a new one. He even threw in some pins for my daughter because she had lost some during our trip.
WDTC saved the day! Actually, the week!

this happened to my daughter. the ticket would not scan and we could barley see the numbers on it. We eventually got it to work going in, but I realized it would not work for fast passes. We ended up upgrading her ticket to the AP then instead of waiting until later. The only downside was i was almost to late to play MA. they were getting ready to leave when I walked up and we had to make a mad dash to the castle, but ti all worked out in the end and I blame my child for going on GRR 25 times ina row and when I told her to take her ticket out so it could dry she did not. friend did and that ticket worked fine.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, I wish we were got there often enough to make AP worth it. This is our second trip in two years. This one was better than the last. I need to write a trip report.

What a pain in the tushie! I'm glad that the travel company finally solved your problem.
Meanwhile, I cannot recommend the locking lanyard wallet boxes highly enough. They're waterproof. They come in clear or opaque if you want more privacy. They hold passes/tickets and also have room for fast passes, credit cards, cash, business cards, hotel key/cards, etc, etc.
They're awesome. (And I've been very very happy with the service from MouseShoppe. I do not own MouseShoppe. I am a MouseShoppe retail customer.)

Next time we go I will invest in heavy duty plastic thingies. Jeff at WDTC said he's even had people come in that have had the cheap plastic holder break on California Screamin' and they half a ticket.
Only one CM was rude, the rest were very, very nice. They just didn't know that we COULD get a new ticket. Maybe if it was one that had been purchased at the park that day they would have been able to do it for me.

I am surprised City Hall wouldn't know about the WDTC being able to give you a new ticket.

Blue Ball Go Down The Hole
this is good to know. did you book through DTC? or did you just buy your tickets on your own?

Also, I've been through a couple of "bad ticket" instances for one reason or another, and all but one of the times, we got replacements easily and everything worked out well. My friend's AP ticket wasn't working in the FastPass machines one time, and the CMs all got her FPs until she could get a new pass.
FYI: The one bad experience was at WDW/Magic Kingdom this January. At the gate, when my friend's ticket wouldn't work [same friend; she has a ticket curse), they took about 15 minutes to replace her AP while she stood outside the gates. Then we realized that afternoon that they'd put that very day as the expiration date on it when it was good for another four months (!). If we hadn't noticed it in the park that day, I don't know what she would have done. She wouldn't have been able to get in the next day. I think the CM changed the expiration date in the computer, too, because there was no proof of her original expiration when we went to the AP window. They believed us, though. I guess because it didn't make sense for an AP to expire same day it was issued. And they looked at my AP for reference on the end date, since we were traveling together. But there was no proof of her ticket info; we just got a nice CM who believed the sad tale... So it had a happy ending.

Thank you! Maybe I should add that to my .sig
Yes! They do stay shut! They have a little "latch" on the side that you have to lift up to pull open. It "locks" when you close the box. And since they come in so many different colors, everyone in your party can get different colors and know their box on sight if you want.
I'd love to take credit but I just found out about them from AVP at MouseShoppe

No sweat
As long as you aren't trying to defraud the company, I've found that CMs will do pretty much anything you need for you.
Wet ticket? Let me generate a new one for you.
Mislaid your AP, got your courtesy pass, but you need a ticket for the FastPass machines? Here ya go.
Can't find the receipt but the shirt won't fit? Go get one that does and we'll exchange it.
Smile, be polite, and act like you expect nothing and you will be pleasantly surprised.
