We were supposed to go today (Tuesday). It is my oldest son's b-day and he wanted to go. BUT according to weather.com it is going to be thunder storms all day today. On the page where they break it down hour by hour --- every one says t-storm But Wed. looks much better, so we will go then and hope for the best.

Looks pretty good right now, but that means crowds.

We will be right there with ya!
We've got our rain gear packed and ready to go, a cover for the double stroller, and the beauty of southern california... we really don't know what heavy rain is... Clouds scare us... fog is considered heavy rain... today... well it's like the sky is falling... A cloud passes over the sun and people cancel plans, there's tons of fun things to do indoors, and there will be very few folks. What I'm most excited about is after the rain. Everything is pristine! I love Southern California, but no place on earth beats the happiest place on earth in the most beatiful part of the country (no bias there), after the rain washes all of the gunk out of the air and off the park. It'll be worth being damp to experience that.

    Have a great time!

What about tonight? I was hoping to stop in for a Fantasmic and a Believe, anyone know if they have been cancelled?

I always thought it would be fun to go in the rain. I went last year twice during the rain The first time it was a light rain that only laste a couple of hours and it wasn't too bad. However, the second time it poured and it was miserable. DL is not made for rain. It was a Wednesday in February and it made it seem like it was packed. All the indoor things were jammed! If I were choosing, I would not go to DL in the rian. Even if you like rain or are used to it, the fact remains that DL is built in SoCal and is not prepared for rain. This especially holds true for the large amounts of rain we had yesterday and are scheduled to have again some of the days this week.

My wife and I went last year sometime between Dec 27th to Jan 2 (Can't remember) and it rained pretty hard for Southern CA standards. We had heard about the crowds being down so we took a chance. IT was really busy. All of the people are in town for the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl but they didn't stay away. I was thinking that because they were leaving town the next day that they braved the park.

So, this might still be a busy day at Dland...

I am from Seattle. I was there on the 5th.

It was the best day. The 4th was so crowded with candlelight. The 5th was a nice change of pace. (Missed some padders) =(

The rain does keep a lot of people away. You will enjoy being able to get on rides without having your feet fall asleep on you.

    Last Trip: March 3, 2006 - March 5, 2006 to DL
    Next Trip: May 21, 2007 - June 3, 2007

Rain only keeps locals away. Tourists have planned their whole vacation, and if DL is on the plan, then DL is where they'll go. And with the first-time Longhorns in town, I can guarantee busy crowds every day, no matter the weather.
Right now, it is clear in NW SoCal.

I second going into the Animation Studio inside DCA. You can feel the Disney magic in there. We went a few years ago and it rained the entire time. It was wonderful. We had the best character interaction and the park was empty. Have fun and stay dry!
