4 days and counting 4 days and counting!!

Ok- I leave Friday morning at 12:40 am...I am just hyper now. Got too many things to do but I feel mired in the mud of inactivity!

    ARGH-

Ok- any last minute tips? I plan to pick up my rental car and head straight to the parks. Trade in our vouchers for the AP's and hit the MK. Any tips on starting out? Will I have to pay for parking the first time even though I will have a Premium Pass?

How does all this work and how do you stay sane!

    AHHHHHH- memories!!

IF they make you pay for parking, keep the receipt and take it with you to Guest Services. I am fairly sure they will apply it to the cost of the upgrade.

How does it all work? Magic. Sanity is optional. Pace yourselves and don't expect to do it all, unless you go really insane and move here.

    Hey Teri-
sorry about the other post- I didn't get it!

I already have premium passes, I just have to turn the vouchers in and get the actual passes. I should call WDW and ask them what the do when I get there. I'm stressing about money more than anything else!

You know, I think about moving to FL regularly! Cost of living is less than here in CO and I would have WDW in my "backyard" so to speak.

Ah... just show the parking guys the vouchers, get a big grin on your face and say that today is the day you are getting your Annual Passes, and I'd bet they won't charge you to park.

I have mixed feelings about our move here, but we are getting used to the Major cultural differences. You get more house for your money here. You have to be wary of construction quality, even on nice houses like ours... we had a small fire last week due to improper installation on our AC plus inadequate (read: nonexistent) grounding in our garage apartment, where my husband has his office. We were extremely lucky we caught it in time before there was serious damage. Glitches like that crop up alot in Orlando developments. But still, it is a beautiful place to live.

If they still make you pay for parking, bring the receipt to Guest Services, and they should refund the cost of parking when you redeem the voucher.

Nephythys-My wife and I will be visiting WDW July 18-28 and staying at the Contemporary. Will you still be there during this time? If you have never been to WDW, I strongly suggest you take the lightest weight clothing possible. Nothing can prepare you for the "jungle" like heat and humidity of Orlando. Even during night time hours, prepare to have sweat trickling down your back as you wait in line to ride the attractions! Another suggestion is in relation to E-Ride nights. Be sure to pay the extra $12 or so and experience the park after hours. I'll watch for your response, have fun!!!

Actually I am leaving on the 18, that is our last day. *sob* But we will be there most of the day, don't have to be at the airport until between 6 and 7pm.
I am not staying on property. We are actually using my time share and staying at the Marriott Grande Vista. So no E-ride nights for me. That's ok- maybe next time. I'm sure I will get in plenty of WDW in 10 days.

I am just finishing up some financial issues, tomorrow I have to go to work
*ugh* and then Thursday I pack. My flight leaves at 12:40 am Friday morning...*yawn*

    AHHHHHH- memories!!

Nephythys-Looks like our timing is horrible! We arrive in Orlando on July 18 at 8:00am. I'm sure our room won't be ready that early so after we register at the front desk, we will head to the Magic Kingdom. If you happen to be in the park that day, say hello if you should see me. You can't miss me. I have very long blonde hair and a muscular build. All of the pesky teen-agers usually yell "Fabio" at me while I'm in public, irritating huh? Also, it will only be my wife and I, we have no children. Enjoy your vacation!
