    A Minor TOT Complaint

As others have started in another thread here the drop sequence is the same every time. I understand that TOT has the technology to change that in the future. But why not have a few different drop sequences now? Does anyone know when they might add another drop sequence? Thats basically the only complaint I have about this ride. If I didn't know when I was going to drop after a few rides, this ride would be even better.

My TOT complaint is with the lobby. Today as we waited in the lobby I noticed that there is an emergency exit gate about 3 foot tall before you enter the library. Twice while we waited, kids opened the gate and proceeded to run around the lobby and try to play with the props. No cast member was present to stop them. At this rate the lobby will be in shambles soon. Someone needs to monitor the lobby and watch for kids going through this gate and jumping on the furniture. Any suggestions?

Rally - I think we'll have this drop sequence for a year. I fully expect them to re-launch Tower next May with the "random" drop sequence program. Then they can tout it as another "gift" to Disneyland for the birthday.

Don't blame the wonderfully themed lobby because of a exit gate!

I actually almost fell into the prop part of the lobby when I was talking to someone and leaned on it with my butt. That gate opens very fast! But, yeah, they should have magnets hold them in place like the gates on Dumbo when the ride is in motion. They could have easily put a control button where the bellhop is standing to release the doors if needed.

BTW, where were the parents of these kids!? Some people.....

I asked a few people (that would know) about the drop sequence change. They said that it has to do with getting people through they line quickly. So it depends on how fast the crowds die down at DCA because of the New attraction before they change it. I guess if they leave it the way it is they can get more people on the ride faster making the line shorter hence letting more people experience the attraction. So after summer if it slows down a bit they might start playing with it a bit :-)

Remember everything I say is unconfirmed statement I only work their LOL.

    Exactly!

We ran in to Lost Boy today at the park and were talking about the addition of varried drop sequences. About a hour later, I saw a large banner on a closed (under refurb) Peter Pan. The banner claimed Pan was being refurbed for the 50th.

I think tomorrow I'll wear my gold lamme shirt and claim it's for the 50th.

Those beautiful red velvet chain guides are broken because people sit on them.

You know, it was the same thing with the drained out fountain in front of the Tower as well. I was sitting in front of TOT for at least an hour a few days ago, and there were kids always standing in the fountain, getting up on the base and trying to touch the fiber-optic sign. All this with the parents right nearby! I don't know how many times that a cast member had to tell them to come down from there. I just hope that that will not be a daily occurance, although it probably will be.

I agree that parents should watch their kids!!! That said, Disney should know about kids and should plan new attractions with them in mind. They should install some kind of system whether CM or actual "child lock" that makes it not as accessible unless truly needed. They have only been doing this for 50 years!!!!

My source says they plan to vary the drop sequence after the summer.

Don't want to upset the computer or something.

I don't have time for this.

OMG! How dare you suggest that parents actually make their children mind and show some respect for their surroundings and for other people. Have you gone daft people? Everyone knows its the CM's problem to watch their kids, right??
