95.5 KLOS is giving away family four-packs to a special listener preview of Tower of Terror on April 29th from 7-11 p.m.. You can listen all day for your chance to call in and win. Also, tomorrow morning (Friday) there will be a ticket blitz where they give away one four-pack every sixty seconds (hang-up, redial, hang-up, redial, hang-up, redial, hang-up, redial). (The time hasn't been announced, but will be sometime between 6-10 a.m.. That's how I won mine.

Yeah, they've been giving a lot of tickets away during the Mark and Brian show even though M&B are on vacation this week. I heard them do the "30 packs in 30 minutes" thing the other day - I think it was during the 8:30am hour.
I guess I have a glitch in my matrix.

I heard somewhere they are expecting 5,000 - 6,000 people. The park will be closed and then reopened for the listener thing. How crowded is the park with 5k-6k people?

Congratulations!!! How exciting for you!!! I live in northern Cali, so I don't have a clue about what contest this is, but I just wanted to say congrats on your persistence! I won a trip to Disneyland from a radio station up here in SF. We went in October, but no ToT for us. It was all surrounded by scalfoding at that time. Have fun! I'll be in the Happiest Place on Earth on May 1st. I can't wait!!!!

6,000 people riding Tower of Terror in the 4 hours of the event, assuming JUST tower of terror is open, will mean not many rides and a pretty long line (like an hour). Now the entire park open for the 4 hours would make things pretty slow with the 6,000 guests spread out among DCA's 50 or so acres. On a usual day dca pulls numbers in the teen thousands.

I would start nudging Kevy to take me and mine, but as it is, I'll be riding TOT soon enough.

I'm too lazy to dial/hang up/redial for 30 minutes, and I'm also to lazy to grovel.

    Who's groveling now.

I will be riding it on Sunday the 25th. I got invited with a CM's and her family. They have adopted me and I will hopefully not chicken out like I did when I went to WDW with my sister.

According to what they've been saying when they've been talking about the event, they will have the run of the park.

Dial (800) 955-5567 over and over until 9:30 - persistence can pay off

Ahh, two of my favorite subjects in one thread - Disney and M&B! I record M&B daily from their New Mexico affiliate's internet feed, edit the commercials, dub to cassette, and listen when driving. Almost as good as live! And this thread is almost as good as hearing M&B talk about DL!!!

I'm from the bay area, but does anyone know if there is any way I can get tickets to this some how? APril 29th is my birthday and I will be at Disneyland anyway, this would totally make my day! If anyoneknows anything or at what time they do this, could I call that number from here? I just can't hear that station to know when to call. Any suggestions? Thanks!

There is a good chance it will be soft opened during the day on the 29th.

The Mark & Brian show is on weekdays from 6 to 10am. Call 800-955-5567 anytime - they're not giving away at any specific time. They want you to call and do something fun to win your tickets. Most people call up with some movie or Disney trivia, or they have a howling dog, or they play a practical joke on someone over the phone, etc. Just try to find something entertaining, and be prepared to be on hold for a while. Good luck!

Chance to win ToT preview tickets

Twice today (Thursday, 4/22 - Earth Day), classic rock radio station KLOS (95.5) will be having two 1/2 hour ticket blitzes where they will give away four-packs of tickets for their private preview party.

The preview will be on Thursday, 4/29 from 7-11 p.m.. DCA will be closed to the public. Los Lobos will be playing.

They did not say what time these two 1/2 hour opportunities will be except to say that they would both be after 10:00. Their phone number is (800) 955-5567. Once the time frame starts, just dial your fingers off for a half hour and you've got a chance to win!

(And no, I am not affiliated with the station other than being a regular listener. And I have already won my tickets )

    Yeah, I got nuthin

Kevy, if you are listening at work today, woul dyou post when the time frame starts? i am going to look for KLOS on Live 365, but if I can't find it there, I don't have access to a radio in my office.

I guess I can keep my cell phone dialing constantly all day.

It would be great if someone would post when this starts. It'd be cool to have a shot at these.

Sorry Mamabot: I don't have a radio at work. Can't you get them out there? I usually have success when I am going through your neck of the woods.

And you will not find them on Live365 or anywhere on the net. They had major contractual issues with the union AND with the record companies, so they pulled the plug a couple fo years ago on their live feed.
    Yeah, I got nuthin

Thanks for the info Kevy. I have had my cell phone auto dialing the number for a while now. Have to recharge the battery at lunch.

I will listen from the car at lunch too. If I do win tickets, one will be spoken for, so I will have two up for grabs...
