For those who like to get an early start, I noticed on dizpins that they've announced the date for the Haunted Mansion Holiday event this year to be Thursday, September 30, per the Disney Gallery calendar.
Reservations will be accepted beginning May 24, 2004 at 9am on the Disney Gallery website.

Happily Haunting elsewhere
Geez, already? I love the overlay but I'd better enjoy the classic Mansion while it lasts.

Fun is wherever you find it...
Dinner Menu Announced (humor)
Based on March 3rd's events with Eisner, and last year's reduced quality in the dinner, my brother provided this fine menu for this year's event...
The "Salute to Michael Eisner Nouvelle Cuisine Haunted Mansion Holiday Dinner":
Appetizer:
Breadsticks and Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge shaped to form some semblance of Jack, with choice of warm or cold Cold Duck served in complementary plastic Clown head (cheap clear plastic cup - we are told this is the clown's blank face)
Salad:
Iceburge Lettuce carefully tossed to resemble Oogie Boogie.
1st Main Course:
Hamburger with white sourdough bun to form Jack face (eyes and mouth are burned into the bun).
2nd main course:
Ore Ida fish sticks colored and assembled raggedly to form Sally.
Dessert:
Costco pumpkin pie slice shaped to form the professor's wheelchair with a dollop of coolwhip to form the professor.
Complementary gift as you leave is a Zero sculpture formed of kleenex.
"[Disneyland] has that thing - the imagination, and the feeling of happy excitement - I knew when I was a kid." - Walt Disney

AVP did a review of last year's event that is up on MousePlanet. I attended in 2002 and enjoyed it, but I think the film screenings that they've done the past 2 years sounded a lot more fun. I would have gone to that last year if I had still been in town. The HMH event is great is if you are interested in collecting merchandise, but that seems to be the sole focus of these events recently. Perhaps this will change.

Figuring out the mom thing
Does this mean that HM will be closed during the preceeding weeks?

Per usual, it'll be closed for something like 3 weeks in September while they put in all the NBC stuff.
