Thumbs up My trip to USF & IOA

WE HAD THE BEST TIME! Rain forgotten, put on the ponchos and go!
Got out of the car at the Hard Rock Hotel and heard the music. New I was at the right place!
Check-in was a snap. 5 min. at most. They have a great program for kids. Show a recent report card with an A on it and you get a bottomless cup, pen pencil, and braclet( Great Kid). My son was thrilled.
Spent the 200 a nite and stayed on the club level. It was great! the Conceirge service was all we wanted and more. The rooms were Beautiful, the beds were soooooooooooo comfortable, great TV and ( yes) STEREO. They give you a cd to keep when you check -in. Also a libary ( cd) in the Club room. It was Great! The pool and slide were almost as good as the one at yacht and beach at Disney. VERY CLEAN pool area.
The best was, because we stayed at a on site hotel, we got free express pass. We zoomed ahead of the line. kinda like fast pass with NO WAIT AT ALL to go on the rides .
The parks were so much fun! Island of Adveture is everybit as good as Disney. I was so surprised. Lots of rollar coasters, Cat in the hat land is sooooo sweet! and Lots of fun.Water rides were really wet. I mean...you had no chance! Spiderman was our family fav. It's a must and thats all I will say. Don't want to ruin the surprise.
Universal is a once every 6 yrs. park . MIB is great!!!!!!! Twister was good ...once. Terminator is pretty good too.I hate the back to the future ride. Everyone I know gets a head ache from banging their head on the back of the car. Need to fix that.
I will say this. the park prices are cheaper than Disney but the merchandise is higher. ( can u believe it) I was shocked! I found it hard to believe that a place would mark there STUFF up more than Disney does! Now I've seen it all ( LOL )

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We are in the planning stage for a December 2002 trip to central Florida. IOA is definitly on the short list. I think it will be 4 days at Disney, 2 at Universal, 1 at Sea World.

    hey disneyhead

if your time down there will be anytime around Christmas it is WELL worth staying at the hard rock just to get the front of the line access. two days in minimum for USE. I'd say about half day for US and a day and a half for IOA

keep an eye out for special offers. right now AAA is offering a three day pass for the price of two days.

IOA will change the way you look at WDW. you will still love it, you just long for the good ol days when "quality will out".

have fun (only two more weeks till we go)

I took my family to Orlando in April and I agree with both disneyhead and efoxx on the WDW - 4 days, UO - 2 days, SW - 1 day plan.

Would strongly recommend staying onsite at Universal to get "no wait access" as this program is absolutely the best thing going for theme parks. Yes, people will stare and might say something on rare occasions but that's only because they waited for 90 minutes for Spiderman while you went on it 3 times in 30 minutes.
