I'm planning on going to the Luau for our midweek relax at the resort day. Do people dress up for this? I'd love to not have to bring an extra outfit if possible.

No, I don't recall people been particularly dressed up for this.

Definitely not a dress up dinner. A lot of people wear long sundresses or Hawaiian shirts but absolutely not dressy. Remember it is an outside venue so the elements play a huge factor in clothing choice. Be comfy - I usually wear a pair of capris and a matching tank/shirt. Enjoy

Thanks scoobydooby and deedee73!
I was thinking about getting my girls a cute tankini set that has a separate skirt. (So they can wear their swimsuit on the days we do the water park in the morning and then go into the parks). With a cute top I think it will be perfectly passable for the luau.
That does sound cute. There was on our last trip a photo op setup along the walk to the Luau that had some tikis & the show name with all the lush Poly greenery around you. Was a nice pic but better with a wide angle lens. There is a point in the show that they ask for kids to come up & dance. You might want to prep the girls for it ahead of time so then they are not surprised or shy away from the experience. Got some great pics during that portion.

That sounds great! I bought the photo plan with the trip so I definitely want a family photo there. My girls are a bit show-offy so they will definitely dig a chance to break out some hula moves. I can't wait!
