    Magical Gatherings Software

    I just had an idea..

Since the Magical Gatherings Software is free to download and use...

    Why doesn't everyone?!?

I've posted a few times about it and no one else seems to be using it. You don't need to be going on a big "Magical Gatherings" trip to use it. The software doesn't care...

But it lets you share your thoughts in polls for your group, it lets you share plans and meeting times and priority seating and reservation information, and it lets you browse the web together and chat too! It even has some basic intenerary planning tools.

Thus far, mine has if anything served as a paperless note board, keeping track of all the information for my trip and letting everyone know if plans change or anything. Plus, it helped us settle the "Which Fireworks show?" debate!

Oh yeah, and instead of trying to memorize everyone's favorite things to see and do, if your members visit disneyworld.com and are registered there, the "Favorites" they save at the website get transfered automatically to the program so you keep a running list of what everyone is interested in doing and it even tell you how many people are interest in each particular item.

    A few more notes..

I've just gotten the hang of the intinerary planner.

Essentially, you need to save an activity or location as a "Favorite" through Disneyworld.com.

Then you view your favorites list in the program, select the activity or location, click the calendar to designate a date, add a time of day if you want, and note - viola! Its in your itinerary!

Which you can then print.. lets see how it looks.. *waits for it to print*

Cute! Prints with a colorful Tinkerbell border around it, and i'm sure if i went into my printer setup I could print it on a handy half page or something.

    Small glitch/hint..

If you want to remove something from your Itinerary, click on it and then click "delete."

If you accidentally start to delete something, clicking "No" will just put you in a loop - you have to click the close window "X" box instead and it wont delete your ite.

At the risk of sounding like paranoid, tinfoil-hat type... is there a risk of Disney snooping on our entries in the software?

It does sound interesting. Where did you download it?

I think that will work.. If not, look for the "Multiple the Magic" header on the Disney World.com homepage. The link to it is at the bottom of that paragraph.

Hey, also, is anyone using the "My Reservations" system yet?

You can access information about reservations made through the Walt Disney Travel Company (8-digit reservations).

But now, you can also access 12-digit Central Reservations Office reservations too!

Mine aren't loading yet, earlier today it didn't pull up anything, and now it just pulls up my dates but says it cant access other info. I'm not surprised, it is a special discount rate and code that the website prolly doesn't know.

Anyone else with "normal" ressie have any luck?

Of course, you can always "Write in" anything to the itinerary.. but.. wait, Disney has made life easier once more!

You can adding Jogging as a "Favorite" and thus easily squeeze it into your plans.

Hehe. Someone took the time to think of EVERYTHING.

    Small update..

Someone in my group decided to suggest we visit The Country Bear Jamboree.

I'm sorry, I really don't like it. I've done, will do it annually, but not more often.

Since suggestions through the 'favorites' feature is anonymouse.. I'm gonna try and get them to fess up in a poll!

It's really great software, anyone else gonna give it a try?
