3rd trip to Disneyland in 4 years September 21st-27th

    Travel dates: September 21st-27th
Travel method: Flew from PDX to LAX
    Resort:Accommodations: Quality Inn on Katella
Ages Represented in Group:37 year old me!
Disney Resort Experience Represented in Group: This will be my 4th trip to Disneyland (3rd trip in 4 years) and I've been to Disney World 4 times
    Comments: Vacation!!!!!
Cast of characters: Me and my cuddle Mickey (or as Fresh Baked Disney call it Permahug Mickey)

I started the day at 6:15 doing last minute packing after being at a comic book convention all weekend. Left for PDX at 7 and got there. I was checked in, through security and in the lounge in 15-20 minutes. First class one way of my trip.

Because of the redesign of the LAX airport, we circled and ended up landing late after being told we were getting there early. Go figure. Not impressed with the wait for Super Shuttle but I may have been tired.

Got to the hotel and a room was just finished while I was talking to the front desk so perfect timing. Iput everything in my room and went to the park. I took the monorail and than went on Finding Nemo, Autopia, and Astro Blasters (all with super short lines woohoo!). By then it was time for my Happiest Haunts Tour and I went over there and there was a delay so I got to watch part of the Sound Parade. Ialso picked up a traveling companian named Mickey. He got to ride on my wrist the rest of the day.

I'm not going to talk about the tour in case people are planning to take the tour and don't want to know.

After the tour I went on Splash Mountain twice (single rider), Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise, and INdiana Jones. By then it was about 9:30. I wanted to see if Icould make it to Tomorrowland to ride Star Tours but we were rushed out of the park during the Paint the Sky/Disneyland Forever thing. I stood on main street and watched part of the fireworks. All in all a fun first day

Tomorrow I start the day with Walk in Walt's Footsteps and my Early Morning admission.

I enjoyed reading about your 1st VERY busy day You were able to do quite a few things, including a tour. Wow. We took the Halloween Tour a few years ago, when it started in DCA and ended up in DL. I know you said you didn't want to say too much about it, due to spoilers. Would you mind telling us how long the tour lasted and how many attractions you went on.
Hope the rest of your trip has been fun!

To answer amazedncal:It was a lot of fun. COmpletely different than the one Iwent on in 2012. Gave more of a history of the park this time which makes sense for the 60th anniversary. I think we went on 4 or 5 rides. It is totally worth getting a ticket for.

2nd day was my Early Morning and I spent it in Fantasyland. Went on Peter Pan and It's a Small World. After this I went on Walk in Walt's Disneyland footsteps. Again completely different than the one I went on 4 years ago. Different rides and different emphasis but totally and completely fun. The Dream Suite is awesome!!! After the tour I went on a lot of different rides. Ithink I went on everything that I hadn't the day before. Weird thing on Gadget's Coaster: The teens in front of me were definitely high. I kept expecting the Disneyland security to come out. Went on Mr. Toad's thinking it was going to close early and it broke down (thankfully without me in it). Stood patiently and it was back up in 10 minutes. I watched a bit of the Disneyland Fireworks this day still from a distane.

3rd day I swung over to DCA. This trip has been nothing but an experience. I participated in my first rope drop. It was fun being escorted to Tower of Terror. Tower of Terror was a lot of fun. I kept looking for the dead body and wouldn't find it until day 5. I guess I never looked in the right places. I went on all of my favorite rides including ones I hadn't been on before (Jumping Jellyfish). Radiator Springs ride is fun with single rider. Usually it's quick. I decided when DCA closed it was time for me to head back to the hotel. Went back to the motel and watched part of the fireworks.

4th day: Back to Disneyland. I went on all kinds of rides and found today to be a peculiar line day. Splash Mountain had a line to even go inside to join the Single RIder Line because there were so many people. I went on Big Thunder Railroad twice in a row. THe second time was a literal walk on ride. That night was special at night. I found a curb spot for Paint the Night. So much fun but that song is so stuck in my head. Hurried quickly to stand in front of the castle and made it to the front of the second section. I had tears in my eyes during Disneyland Forever. It was so beautiful. Back to the hotel afterwards.

5th day:I spent the first 5 hours or so at DCA. Went on all my favorite rides and found the body at ToT finally. Got absolutely soaked during Grizzly. After trying my hand at carnival games and losing (though I have.another Mickey friend with me on this trip that I on the 3rd day) Iheaded back to the motel to get ready for the party. Idecidded to save my tired and hurting feet and took the bus to the park. The line to get in was long. I got in and went to Tomorrowland and got a fast pass for Star Tours and rode it while waiting for my time. After this I took the train to TOon Town because it was time for Trick or Treating. THe first and third lines were huge but the second was okay. After Trick or Treating there I went to Fantasyland for Trick or Treating at Fantasy Fair and then went on Its a Small World. Loved the halloween lights! Did some more trick or treating before realizing I better get to the castle for the fireworks. Awesome fireworks. I then headed for Adventureland and went on Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones. On IJ my mask was ripped off my face. After this I headed to Splash Mountain and went on twice in a row because there was no queue. I got my picture taken with TIgerr and Rabbit and then WInnie the Pooh. I headed to the park entrance and realized I missed the Villains farewell.

Characters I've gotten my picture taken with so far:
    A chipmunk (Dale maybe)
    Goofy
    Mickey
    Donald
    Pluto
Woody who stole my Mickey off my wrist andtried to wear it!
    Tigger nd Rabbit
    Winnie the Pooh

I'm probably going to take my time heading to the park for my last day tomorrow. It's after 1 AM right now and I'm pooped.

Thank you for the tour thumbs up
I've heard about the "dead body" in TOT but I keep forgetting to look for it. Congrats on finding it! Always so fun to find something new.
