Hi Tater - we just got back - it looks like you're staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We had lunch at the Whispering Canyon cafe on Sunday. If you plan on eating there and you get a server named Anthony - RUN AWAY as fast as you can! I have never had a customer service experience at WDW, or anywhere for that matter, that was worse than Anthony's service. How bad was it? Without going into all the graphic details our lunch took 3 1/2 hours. He was obviously extremely slow even though we asked him to start rushing things after 1 1/2 hours. We missed 2 fast pass+ reservations because of his service, including one for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! I was very unhappy to say the least.
On the flip side of the coin, his management, and the management at the Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom stepped up to make things right. At the Wilderness Lodge they fixed the fast pass+ situation by giving us fastpasses that we could use at any time that day. Unfortunately, when we got back to the Magic Kingdom it was about 5:00 and they closed at 7:00 for MVMCP, so we didn't have too much time to use them. We were also having some issues with some Memory Maker photos that got lost (of course they were the ones from meeting Anna and Elsa). So as we were leaving the park at 7:00 we stopped by the Town Square Theatre to see if they could help us out. We ended up telling them about our issues at Lunch. Carolyn, who is one of the managers there, gave us passes to the MVMCP, which we were not planning on attending. She reasoned that since we lost so much time in the afternoon, she'd give it back to us that night. That put a little pixie dust back in our day after a rough afternoon. I'm planning on writing to Disney's customer service department to tell them both the good and the bad.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread - I just wanted to make sure that you don't suffer the same fate we did!
