I'm signed up for the Dodgers 5K in September, the Long Beach half in October, the Hard Rock Cafe 5K in November (a week before Avengers) and I'm signed up for the Glass Slipper Challenge as well as the 5K for Princess.

Please don't ask me how I feel, I feel fine.
Oh I cry a bit, I don't sleep too good, but I'm fine

Doing the Hard Rock Cafe 5K in Hollywood again this November. They changed the bling to an awesome sparkly drum kit! They have the best 5K medals ever.

    First 5K - Neverland - January 19th, 2013
    First Half Marathon - TinkerBell - January 19th, 2014

It's amazing what is possible in just one year.

Anyone signed up to take part in the Disney Fit Challenge? If you're a CrossFit devote or an American Ninja Warrior, it might be fun.

It's sure been a quiet event and obviously hasn't sold out. I don't recall seeing anything about it at any of the runDisney running events (or did I just miss the booth).

Click here to see more info on the event.

I just realized that the rest of my races for the year I'm considering basically. 'Supported training runs' for Mickey training! 2 halves (maybe 3 if I decide to attack the a Mississippi River bridge, the miles work - but it's a BIG bridge), a 10 miler, 10k, 5 miler and a couple of 5ks! And volunteering at a race tomorrow because a 2 mile race when I have 12 on the schedule just isn't going to cut it! (The race director said she'd try to put me on 'turn duty', so I'm happy about that - I get to be loud and obnoxious and encouraging AND tell people where to go!)

I just signed up for my first half...the RNR in DC in March, but I think it accidentally signed me up for the full. I'm freaking out a bit, but it have to wait until Monday to call and hopefully get it fixed.

Congrats on joining the slippery slope of half marathons i.e., once you do one you will be hooked!

You will LOVE RnR DC! Hopefully the course hasn't changed much since the first event and you will have a chance to run by many of the monuments and down the Mall. Did it a couple of years ago and have hopes to give it another go someday.

Another race canceled shortly before the event - this time it's the Boulder Marathon.

RnR Denver is offering free entry into the event for the first 200 displaced by the cancellation who reply to the offer.

For those of you who were at Beat the Blerch last weekend, you may have heard a 28 year old runner collapsed at mile 12 of the half on Sunday and very, very sadly did not survive. There is a memorial run scheduled on November 2nd for Evan Sebenius with both an in-person or virtual option. The goal is to 'run Evan in' to the finish as well as raise funds for his family.

More details on this event can be found on Facebook here.

Already have a virtual run on my calendar for him on that day. Wish I could fly back up there for the actual memorial event, because I'd love to donate my old shoes to the charity "shoe tower" they are putting up at the spot where he collapsed.
