I'm in H with 3500+ of my closest friends. How weird is the timing of that corral? 2:30-3:13. That seems like such a huge difference.

By the way, anyone notice in the Official Guide that runDisney is now using Orange Flag People to keep the pace at Disneyland?

Pace cyclists will be on the course indicating when runners are behind pace by posting orange flags at mile markers according to the official pace time. If you reach a mile marker with an orange flag, you are behind the required 16-minute-per-mile pace and can be picked up at any time.

That's not new though. That's been posted before on official materials.

I thought the flags were the only way that DL used to tell people they were behind. WDW uses balloon ladies, but not DL.

A corral! Friend Matt is in B corral. Wife is in G corral and Matt's wife is somewhere between B and G.

It just got real. So did this flash flood we are having right now. Glad I ran at lunch! Time to go for a swim, I mean concussion training.

yeah - fields, parking, and morgan/west centers look awful. Pauley's new renovation are hit hard. Sad. The floor, etc.

Their location is in Colorado, so I would think they're talking about a different flood.

Would you please add me to the roster for the 1/2 (VickiHD) and husband David. We're in corral H. Also thinking that is a large time difference for that corral.

Do they normally release the 10k corrals before the weekend?

They have in the past, but I've heard a buzz that they won't release them before the expo this year. That is truly rumor, it is not from any of my rD contacts, so I don't know if there is anything to it.

    Dang. DDD Corral H. I really thought there would be a 2:30 - 2:45 or 3:00 separation.

Corral H and I are very odd in their breakdowns. Start towards the front of the corral as much as you can. That should help.

I read that as you had an odd breakdown!

The 3 in my family that are running in the half ended up in two different corrals (I and J) - weird since we're all first timers.

Guess that would make it the 'me, myself, and I' corral!

Looks like the last few corrals were a bit of a 'shake lightly to mix' on finish times. Will be interesting to hear from everyone how it all works out.

Another dumb question. Since the event starts at 0530 and sunrise is sometime after that, will headlamps be necessary?

I found all the Disney races I've done (WDW half, DL half, and Wine and Dine -which is a night race) to be adequately lit for me. Also, for the first few miles you're going to be in a crowd, so the headlight isn't going to help much.
Don't forget your sunglasses, though, even though you don't need them when you leave your room!

No headlamp. But sunglasses are a MUST! Running into the sun on Ball Rd is killer.
