The race is coming up quickly. Guess I'd better get a hotel room!

Yea, that would probably be a good idea!
Fortunately, my sister has been working quite a bit filling in for people at her old job, but it requires hotel stays. So that means she has LOTS of points and we've got most of our stay (Fri-Sun) on her points, and she thinks she'll have enough to add Monday night on that way as well!

I just book at the Marriott across the street from Disneyland. Anyone ever stayed there before? First time visiting and I am pumped!

We're regulars at Candy Cane Inn but I've heard the Marriott is very nice. You are so going to love this race!

The Marriott Fairfield just across the street is my absolute favorite. I've probably stayed there well over 20 times. It's so close to the park and nice and clean. It's definitely where we choose to stay every time. It's so nice for the races too because you can just walk across the street to the start line.

We took the plunge and are staying at the Disneyland Hotel this time. I can't tell you how excited I am for that...I've never stayed there before. I seriously feel like a little kid!

Sounds like you guys are going to have a blast. I was thinking my party may have some difficulty walking after the Half and why pay twice for parking? I am excited to get my first time visit button! Wait, do they do that at the land?

If you do decide to leave any parking lot for any reason, you can always return to the lot and just show the paid parking ticket, and they'll let you re-enter for free. I've never had any problems doing this for other lots as well - start the day at Toy Story, then go to Mickey & Friends, etc.

I'm looking forward to the DLR Half this year, as it's my last runDisney event. I've decided to decided my last rD race to my cousin, Kyle, who has Autism. I've already met my fundraising requirement!

I definitely need to get going on booking a hotel, and other accommodations. heh

My training for the Dumbo Challenge and the 5k is going fine, but more importantly, this morning I ordered the final item I needed to complete my running costume for the Half! I'm paying homage to one of my favorite Disneyland attractions~~and it is going to look SO FABULOUS! No, I'm not going to say what it is.

Like everyone else, though, I'm going to be weariing a hulu tutu and related tropical accoutrement for the 5k and 10k. This is the first time I've ever switched out running outfits for the same series of events!

Getting very antsy for the races! ONLY 47 DAYS! YEA!

The iGiftBag is also live. I always sign up for the free Art Cards from Lasting Commemoratives as I finally ran out of wall space to purchase the full-size poster!

Easier to get home as well. Nice and tiny.

If it's an anniversary event and I know there may be a chance I'll buy the poster, I've learned to pack a poster tube with me so it doesn't get destroyed.

With only 40-something days away, I'm getting really excited. Although, between now and then I have two really long runs to tackle (18 and 20 miles). I'm nervous about those, but I'm hoping that they do great things for my Dumbo performance.

Do you have a goal pace in mind for the 10K and/or half?

Not for the 10k. I plan on just having a good time with Hannahbelle and taking lots of photos. For the half I'd like to break 3 hours. I've only done it once before, I've not even tried to break that in a long time.

Dang, if I was running the half I would offer to pace you. I hope you get under 3!
