Does the website list the host resorts? I couldn't find anything so I just booked at SSR (to be safe).

Yes. It's under travel. It's also listed in the thread under Team Mouseplanet called Transportation During Race Weekend.

Sounds like we should consider a meet-up on Friday night before the race!

Is there any type of bag check? I'm only familiar with the Disneyland races where you begin and end in the same area. And do the after party tickets sell out? I may not know whether anyone can go until closer to the event date.

There is a bag check. Worked great last year. (The first year it was a fiasco to retreive your bag, according to my sister. I just cheered that year.)

I don't recall if the after party tickets sold out or not last year, sorry. (The first year they sold way too many, but it didn't feel as bad this year as that first year -- but then the finish line was in a different area which could have contributed to that.)

Yes there is a bag check and after the disaster of the first Wine & Dine bag check (that's a loooong, horrible story), they figured out how to do it right.

The party usually does sell out however, it shouldn't happen very soon. They will start to publish capacity on the runDisney site when it reaches 50% and right now, the party isn't at that point yet.

    Totally!

Ok, another transport question. Is there a bus from DtD to WWoS?

Not unless they make a new announcement about it in the future. Expo transportation is only from designated resort hotels right now. You would need to take a bus to another resort, or you could walk over to Saratoga Springs and catch an Expo bus from there.

You could also walk to one of the host hotels from the International Gateway at Epcot, if that's where you happen to be.

Do you mean after the race?
I'm trying to work out how to get to the Expo from AKL.

No, for the expo. I don't recall which Epcot resorts are 'host' but I remember this year is at least one of them. So from AKL you can go to Epcot, mess around some, walk through to the IG and then to the host resort to catch the bus to the Expo.

Maybe I'm remembering this wrong, but it seems like last year they had buses running back and forth from Epcot to the Expo. I know they had buses from Epcot to the starting line (also at WWOS).

You might be right on buses direct from Epcot for the Expo. For sure Epcot to WWOS for the race because they didn't allow anyone to park at the start.

And it's a night race so buses will still be running to Epcot and then to WWoS before the start, right? I think we're covered. We just need a plan.
