Hold on just a dag blamed minute. You put the quiet pools at Alligator Bayou at #2? That picture looks like the pool at my HOA, except ours has nice sprinkling waterfalls. I'm sure you've spent lots of time there, but does that really make it better than Ol'Man Island, or the Kidani Village pool playground, or the Dragon Pool at POFQ, or even the Mayan Temple pool at Coronado? If it ain't got a slide, it can't be a top 5. At least, that's how me and my family grade pools.

    Huh???

How can you talk about the top 5 pools at the resorts and leave out the 3-acre masterpiece, complete with slide, sand bottom, etc. which is Stormalong Bay shared by the Beach Club & Yacht Club? Maybe the quiet pool because you want it all to yourself. But Stormalong Bay is so beloved that they check room keys for admission because people come from elsewhere to enjoy the pool.

To each his own Gator. The peace and quiet that I've experienced at the quiet pools in Alligator Bayou trump the chaos that tends to accompany some of the other pools that you've mentioned. Sometimes we want the slides and the fountains, and sometimes all we want is a peaceful retreat, and that's what put them so high on my list.

I do like the "If it ain't got a slide, it can't be a Top 5" line.

Agree totally, but that's why I offered the caveat before I listed the pools. Storm-along Bay is such a masterpiece that I don't think it's fair to compare it to anything else on property. Of course, it would be number one. That's obvious...but for this list it was too obvious for me.

My bad. I skimmed the top of the article to get to the top 5 and missed the caveat. That does explain why it is not on the list, although I would have listed it # 1 anyway. Not to do so is like comparing theme parks and listing the top 5 Six Flags locations and leaving off WDW. Then again, it may be beneficial since we can enjoy Stormalong (spelled sometimes with the hyphen, sometimes not) without beating off an excessive horde of folks.
