It is incorrect to frame the reduction of stress as a money issue. "Time is money" is not at issue here. You didn't discuss money at all. You related time with stress. I'm unconvinced that getting to the park early saves on stress. Stress is best dealt with as an attitude adjustment. Trying to do too much as well as trying to get over all the inconveniences will only make you more stressful. Just take things as they come. Don't worry so much.

Our way of reducing stress is to figure out what everybody really wants to do before we get to the park, make that a priority and just enjoy ourselves by taking it easy. I have seen more stressed out folks due to they weren't keeping to their time schedule. Hakuna Matata!

"Although we think it's DOPEY that Pluto has been downgraded to a dwarf planet, which has made some people GRUMPY and others just SLEEPY, we are not BASHFUL in saying we would be HAPPY if Disney's Pluto would join us as an 8th dwarf. We think this is just what the DOC ordered and is nothing to SNEEZE at."

Thanks for the article, Margie - some great advice. I just want to point out one thing, kind of a pet peeve of mine. The parking lot/monorail/boat area in front of the Magic Kingdom is called the Transportation and Ticket Center, not the other way around. Don't feel bad - even Disney gets this one wrong from time to time!

Some travelers to Walt Disney World swear by travel vests or vests designed for photography to avoid the bag check line and allow for hands free touring.
This is because, as is well known, forbidden items only go in bags. Nobody ever carries dangerous things in their pockets.

This also works at Disneyland, although there isn't a no-bags line - you can still sail right through the line as long as all your gear is on your body rather than in a bag.

If you have a photographer in your family, this is a great time to take pictures. Early daylight and the end of the day are times where the light is at an angle and colors seem brighter. We figure out what fastpass we want and send a runner with the tickets to get them while the photographer and the rest of the group mosey towards the first planned ride using the extra time to stop and enjoy the surroundings and "make some memories". By the time the runner(s) have made it to the first ride, the others are there too. It is also a great way to deal with a variety of temperments in a group letting the go-getters go get and the stop and smell the roses type, stop.
