Cast of characters:Me, (Paula) disney/Mickey freak, and Husband Davey who has caught the disney bug.

This will be my husbands 4th trip to WDW and my 7th. I came by myself in 2009, and twice off property as a child. My obsession with WDW began in 2000 when we took our 3 kids for the first time. They were 8, 10 and 10 at the time. It was incredible and I came home to 2 weeks of what I now know is what is referred to as "Disney depression." They only way to combat it was to dream and wait until we had enough money to go again! Here is my plan:

Sunday, September 23. Flight out of Harrisburg at noon! Welcome Frontier Air to harrisburg! Thanks for the non-stop. The flights weren't as cheap as Air tran. $350/pp. Oddly enough, it was only 12 bucks more for the flight down to be bumped up to "business class" Our bags fly free and supposedly more room. I will let you know. it was $200 for the flight home, so I declined. We are taking DME from Orlando to POFQ.
I had booked this trip back in february before free dining was offered. I paid for dining. I had done alot of research and was happy with my POFQ choice. Once the free dining was offered I called and was told there was nothing available for that package at POFQ and would I like to switch resorts. I declined, and was told to call back and keep trying. Guess what? I only took two weeks of trying and I got it! They also refunded my purchased dining plan! Pays to be persistent!
    The itinerary:
Sunday-Fultons ADR, late evening at MK
Monday-MK day. We are participating in the new fastpass trial. I will let you know how it goes. We are using our counter credits this day.
Tuesday-AK Day ADR at Tusker House for lunch
Wednesday-Epcot day. ADR at Teppen EDo dinner.
Thursday-Studios. ADR for H&V and fantasmic. It will be our first Fanstasmic!
    Friday-Fly home. sigh.

So here it is, 13 days from now. The planning is done, I can't stand the wait.

My DH and I will be there starting on Sept 24th. I have the fastpass plus trial for our first day. Hoping we can all get regular FP's along with our special ones. Have you been to Fulton's before? Menu looks good but I have never tried it. Teppen Edo is a favorite - if you like scallops they are awesome there. Wolfgang puck express in DTD is a favorite of ours for days when we don't have table services. Great value on dining plan and really good food, along with a relaxing boat ride from POFQ.

We are also using the fast passes on the 24th! At MK. We have been to Fultons before, it is my husbands favorite restaurant in WDW. He is PA dutch and extremely basic meat and potato guy. But he also loves the lobster there. I am sure he will love the scallops at teppen edo. He gets a little particular, not sure if he would like Wolfgang Puck. I love all food, but I do like making him happy too!

    Hi Mickey!

We stayed at the POFQ last October. We loved it! I would recommend Building 4 if you have a standard room. It is right next to the main building and the closest building to the only bus stop at the resort.

    Have a great trip!

I think we will try Fultons next year if we can snag a bounceback free dining offer. With all of the offerings at Disney you may as well choose restaurants that work for both of you. Have a great time!

We are actually looking for a little piece and quiet and don't mind walking. Any suggestions for an out of the way room?
Today I purchased new socks at WalMart for myself and was downright giddy about it. Does anyone else purchase new squishy white socks for every trip and get as excited as me about it? (I also purchase new foam insoles for my mickey sneakers for every trip, but I did that last week. I am such a nerd)

I can tell you even the rooms closest to the boat dock and pool on the 1st floor are still quiet as a mouse. I LOVED POFQ!

I'll be there the same days as you staying at AKV, but actually going to the non-Disney parks. Weird huh?

Hiya Mickey! I am a sock nerd too! Although my sock obsession is for novelty socks I have been known to squeeze new white socks like Charmin . You are going to want to get to Fantasmic early (about an hour) to snag a good seat in the Mickey section. Everyone says all the views are good in the stadium, but I like the Mickey section about 10 or so rows up from the railing. You may want to bring a lite jacket or wrap, it can get a little damp & chilly on the wate., Maybe even a folded towel to sit on, no cushions on the stadium bleachers. Excited for you, can't wait to hear all about it! Safe travels.

Today was an exciting pre trip day! I checked in online, and received my fast pass plusses in the mail! That was quick Disney! The online checkin only allowed me to choose (request) ground floor. How do I request a room close to smoking for my husband? We do not care how far from everything we are, he just wants to be near a smoking area. And he prefers it to be kinda outta the way because he hates smoking near children.

We just go back from POFQ this week and we stayed in Building 2. It was very nice but we had Garden View. There was a smoking place in the middle of the garden with a fountain. If you want quiet I think building 1 would be perfect but I didn't hear much noise at all in Building 2. It is a great resort. Have a great time.
