Indeed, we have a few of those items ourselves. And no, we have not spent more to get them - except the added cost of the discounted item.

Chris, do you have your watches cataloged by how and when you purchased them, or is your memory just good? If I had more than one purchase-with-purchase item, I don't think I could keep track of which were obtained that way, and which were 'regular' purchases -- ESPECIALLY if they were a bunch of the same thing!

    Hey Cathy,

Trust me, I have no organizational skills. The watches are an important collection of mine, and each has it's own "story." I guess they just all stick in my head that way. If I do forget, which is which, the ones that are from Disney World, as opposed to the Disney Store or DisneyShopping, do actually say "Walt Disney World" on the back.

Chris- I am interested in hearing how your "boys only" trip differed from the full family trips- did you do any different activities? Different park touring schedules? Meal differences(more or fewer character meals; sit-down vs. quick serve) Did you learn or experience anything that you will apply to future trips with the whole family?

The second star to the right....

Love these promotions! On a Mom & Daughter getaway, Dec. 2010, I scored in a major way with a GORGEOUS fleece throw with the picture of the Winterized Sleeping beauty's Castle on a night blue background. It is my snuggly escape when the time between visits seems to stretch forever. I adore it. I gave it to myself as a Christmas present and when I got home my husband said... "Well you spent enough, why didn't you get two or three!" THAT logic never occurred to me 'in the moment'... but you can bet if I ever have a similar opportunity I will take advantage! Great column, and glad to hear the "Boys-only" vacation was wonderful!

I have a lot to say about this actually. Let me think about the proper venue...perhaps on the trip report forum...or perhaps an article. Let me see where this goes.

    Hey Tinker,

Thanks for the kind words. It was wonderful.

I remember that castle throw...you should've bought three!! It was the same as the Pooh throw we have shown in the article. Still soft, still as comfy as ever and I didn't see any newer versions on this trip, so treasure yours!
