The Chase Disney Debit Card is Back (Sort-of)!

Just got an e-mail from Chase:

"Thank you for choosing Disney's Visa Debit Card from Chase to support your banking needs. We're pleased to reintroduce the card with no annual fee. Disney's Visa Debit Card comes in four new magical Disney designs with a variety of year-round perks that you receive just for being a Cardmember."

PERK now includes the Character Meet & Greet w/ free photo!! I am excited about this one!

The card is free, but you DO NOT have the option of earning rewards, that is still only for the credit card holders. (Used to be available to debit card w/ the annual fee).

I saw that somewhere as well. I want to say it did include some of the discounts as well.

The regular Disney Visa does not have an annual fee either. They have a 'higher' version that does have a fee.

It was on the Parks Blog:
    http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blo...sa-debit-card/

They mention saving money of select Disney purchases. If you click through the link in the blog, it looks like the same discounts you get with a Deluxe AP.

A bit more limited than deluxe AP discounts actually if you read the fine print. The 10% off merchandise discount is with a $50 minimum purchase and has more exclusions. The 10% off dining discount is available at only select locations at each resort.

I got my new card, went with the castle design. I wasn't aware of the 'no points' clause like last time... oh well. However with my PAP, the only perk I have is the Meet n Greet. I still get alot of comments on my old Fab 5 card, so that's cool.

The merchandise discount is good at the Disney store as well, and no they won't take my AP at the Disney store. (I asked. )

It says that you receive 10% off on select merchandise purchases of $50 or more at select locations at the Disneyland Resort. Does anyone know what locations those are?

We have used the discount at Mad Hatter's, The Emporium, World of Disney. I have used it at The Disney Store as well.
I think it is worded that way because not all stores are Disney owned, so might not allow discounts. Especially in Downtown Disney, but at one point the Magic shop wasn't Disney owned iirc.

People in the UK can't get either the Visa credit card or the debit card - *sob*
