So its 2 days before we leave, and I was bored, therefore you got this pre-trip report. Congrats to you! We had been talking Disney for a while, with me doing a lot of the urging to work on it. 7 months before, I was surprised with a trip to Disney in December for my tenth trip. It was AMAZING!!!! We had had plans to go in August, and the bounce back offer was better than our annual passholder offer. We wanted to stay at a place that we really liked, and it was narrowed down to POFQ and WL, but WL was too expensive, and we were staying at POFQ.
We also found a timeshare place for three days where we could chill and go to Wizarding World for a day before spending time at Disney.
Next, was a long rousing debate over whether we should get dining plan or not. We argued about this for the amount of time my sister was at college, with me playing the part of the devils advocate we should get the dining plan because its such a great way to save money!!!!! Eventually, though, mom sat us down with our various electronic devices, and pulled up the Allears menus. We each had to choose three table service restaurants, plan out a meal with each of them, not caring about the price, then total them up. We then had to do the same with the quick service meals, and the snacks. She would then look at them and total up the prices. After that, I was sent out of the room so they could have Grown-up discussions. I was called in after that, and I was told we would have the dining plan! WIN!!!!!!!
Now that we knew we were having the dining plan, we had to make reservations. Back to the various electronics and the menus. We chose Liberty Tree, Cape May, the Luau, Coral Reef, and Teppan Edo. We left a couple of days open for what we want, to decide there, and what we feel like doing those few days.
Next we had to schedule one last thing. Sis is a marine biology major, plus certified to dive up to some deep number and her birthday present in June was that she was getting to swim in the tanks at coral reef. Mom scheduled that, and it became sort of real.
Soon after that, out comes the whiteboard, who I just decided is named Leslie. Who is Leslie the Whiteboard, you ask? WellLeslie the Whiteboard is a whiteboard who comes out a couple weeks before we leave for Disney, and we put all our reservations on her. Then around the dining reservations, we plan who goes where, and to what park. It is usually handled by my older sister, but the responsibility was handed down to me, and I was thrilled!
We chose JetBlue for our flight. Yay, TV!!!!!!!!! Our flight is earlyvery early. Or at least for me, a teenager, who sleeps. Lots. Its really only at like 7. But its okay cause Im going to Disney!
I made the mousekeeping envelopes. They are pretty, and color-coded. Each one has a princess, and the writing is the color of the princesses outfit!
So our prospective days will look like this:
Day 1: Fly in around 7 in the morning, check into the timeshare, chill around
Day 2: Be at IOA for WWHP @ 9:00am
Day 3: Mom and Dad tour at 8: 15, hang out day there
Day 4: Rental Car due back at the dolphin, Move to POFQ, Magic Kingdom, Dining Reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern
Day 5: Future world in morning, DHS in afternoon, go to Beach Club for DR at Cape May Clambake
Day 6: DHS in morning, World showcase in afternoon, DR at Teppan Edo
Day 7: Maybe AK, this is one of the few days that we dont have ADRs
Day 8: Epcot in morning, Siss swim in Living Seas, no ADR yet
Day 9: MK, Spirit of Aloha at Poly
Day 10: Epcot in Morning, MK, 1900 Park Fair, maybe wishes
Day 11: not sure which Park, take Magical Express to airport, go to hotel in airport, sleep there
Day 12: Early Morning Flight, Drive from airport to home
There really are only a couple things Im super duper excited or disappointed about, and they would be:
Super Excited: FANTASYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And touring Art of Animation, my mom is taking my grandma/ aunt and cousin to WDW a couple weeks later (I wanted to go, but they said school was more important, so no.) and theyre staying there, so we are scoping out how it looks for them.
Disappointment: I really wish Test Track wasnt closed, but, Oh Well!
I also have food allergies to eggs, Dairy, Peanuts and Tree nuts, and that will be mentioned in the food parts of this.
One last thing, this is my first trip report, and I apologize for spelling mistakes and /or typos. I am an Honors student, but mistakes escape everyone once in a while!!
Have a magical day!!
MJ
