Agreed... They need to redevelop TOMORROWland, to get back to basics and unify it by its theme. That it has already become a dumping ground for Pixar characters is bad enough. If you throw Marvel in there, you might as well just kiss the section off and call it Disney's equivalent to Universal Studios.

If it were up to me, I would replace Innoventions with that permanent version of elecTRONica I mentioned, bring back the NASA exhibit where the Star Tours Fastpass machines are now, switch out the Buzz Lightyear theme on Astro-Blasters to a Stitch theme, change the Submarine Voyage into a Disneynature attraction using actual wildlife footage, turn all the Autopia cars into alternative fuel vehicles, restore the Peoplemover (or hey, even that moving sidewalk idea is cool), turn Starcade into a DisneyQuest, and get rid of the 3D theatre and replace it with an import of Dinosaur (calling it "Primeval World")... Basically bringing it back closer to themes of Science Fiction, technology and discovery, and Disney's own brands instead of dumping corporate acquisitions all over it.

But hey, turning Innoventions into a Stark Expo meet-n-greet would be easier so that'll probably be it.

I agree with everyone in here that Innoventions is old and just bad at this point. But, it has been a nice place to go and sit away from the crowds.

Oddly, this is my pre-teen's favorite attraction because he loves playing with the computers and the house of tomorrow. He is going to be heartbroken when they close it. Then if they replace it with a Justin Beiber ride, I may have to restrain him from a tirade when he sees it or rush him to the restrooms in the back before he gets sick to his stomach.

I'd rather they left innoventions, even though i miss the carousel of progress, and just do something to bring back the people mover. It makes me sad that the track is still everywhere, but nothing happens on it.

    Everyday is an adventure.

I've often thought just some sort of "kinetic sculpture" would be better than just the empty track...maybe like the pods on Syndrome's Island from The Incredibles, but only a couple feet in diameter and painting in bright metallic colors like the Autopia cars

I like that idea. That would be fun twirling around in space with Wall-E and EVE

Well, thinking about it that way. It could be a place to eat that goes around in the loop slowly like the Space Needle in Seattle.

Love the idea of alternative fuel vehicles, and Starcade into DisneyQuest (does Starcade get a lot of people?)

I was kind of thinking of a dark ride like The Little Mermaid, also poking at the movie a little bit. I hope it's more of an E ticket ride. Tomorrowland needs more

Bahahaha! This had me in stitches! Only because our (several padder friends and my) kids have made several "Call Me Maybe" videos and sent them back and forth to each other via text. Annoying and adorable.

I love Stitch, the character. I was excited about that ride, and enjoyed it right up until the chili-dog burp. I nearly lost my lunch and was nauseated for probably close to an hour after that. Never. Again.

We did enjoy the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor thing in Orlando.

My suggestion was going to be pretty much that. Get some animatronics & have them sing a bunch of American tunes. I absolutely ADORED America Sings & wish they'd bring it back. Same with Country Bear Jamboree (except that I also love the Winnie the Pooh ride).

I really like this idea. Because of the heat in Florida (at least I'm guessing that's the reason), they have a number of air-conditioned character meet & greet areas. You stand in line once & get to take pictures with a few characters. It would be nice to have a bunch of characters in one location, accessible no matter what the weather is.

    .......

Am I the only one who doesn't give a rat's backside about the People Mover ever coming back? I love the idea of the colorful Syndrome pods moving around up there. The moving sidewalk option also could be nice.

Ok, I am probably going to get black balled from MP for saying this, but I could do without the People Mover making a comeback. I am glad though they are getting rid of Innoventions. Heck a lot of people I heard went inside anyways to get away from the heat. I like the idea of an e-ticket ride. Maybe even some type of simulator ride (like Soarin'). Picture you being in a space shuttle and visiting another planet or something. That would cool IMHO

I like this idea. A ride would be best, but something moving up there would be far better than the empty, forlorn track.

I dont have a Delorean, but the day I get to ride the People Mover again at Disneyland I will celebrate that night with a Two Corey's (Corey Haim/Feldman) movie marathon. Maybe throw in Teen Wolf as the iceing on the cake.

Wasn't the people mover track redone when they had the Star Wars Speeders?
I hope tat the imagineers do something there that really fits the theme of Tomorrowland, has longevity, and is not Justin Beiber or James Cameron themed ( a la the Avatar horror that is supposed to be happening at AK WDW).

  24. #73

The People Mover track was repurposed into the Rocket Rods track during the brief time that it was open. I'm not sure what was actually done to the track.

Easier said than done. Universal has the theme park license in Orlando. BUT there could be some type of presence in Anaheim in the next year or two.
You know, your guess is probably the most logical. While TRON maybe a good guess, let's be honest. Whats the 3rd highest grossing film of all time?
The Avengers. With Disney making a Marvel park in Dubai and Iger admitting further expansion of Marvel characters in theme parks, Tomorrowland in Disneyland makes a lot of sense. In fact, I foresee them gutting out Innoventions and Pizza port to creat an Avengers E-ticket attraction.
Tomorrowland needs some serious work I think Marvel may just do it. Personally I don't know what it would be like to have Marvel mixed with classic Disney attractions but I'm willing to take a chance

how about a Carousel of Progress returning as "Stark Expo"?
