Say "Cheese!" Your favorite photo spot.
We are planinng our lil' dude's first Disneyland trip! He will be 6 months old, and we want to make sure we get some fun photo ops that we can repeat on future trips. The first things that came to mind are the Sword in the Stone and the Fantasyland ride vehicles that are out in front of their rides.
Where do you take your favorite pictures?

At home in the hills
The White Rabbit by the Alice bathrooms, and Rabbit's door, between the exit of Alice and the Mad Hatter shop.
We also take group shots at the top of the exit Stairs of Tarzan, by the stream. As well as the backside of Grizzly peak with the waterfall, facing It's Tough to be a Bug.

My husband and I always--every single trip---take pictures of each other in the teacups. My original plan was to print and hang up a picture from each trip, but, it's waaaay too much to consider now. I just have a few good ones up.

I've seen some 'later' pictures by the door that candles mentioned (one the subject is now 15, so it's really cute with her crouched over), so that's a really good one (though maybe hard to do with someone not yet standing on their own!)
Don't forget to go visit Mickey! I've heard he's a big fan of little ones!

No but he could be sitting up by it. N is tall and willowy at 13 so even crouched down you can see how much bigger she is.
-
We always try to do the Mickey flowerbed out front....then Sleeping Beauty's Castle....and we always take pictures by the iconic Walt and Mickey statue.
But...anywhere's good!

Thanks everyone! I'd forgotton about the Alice door, I think we will sit him in front of it.
I hope he'll like Mickey!

We took our daughter for her first trip when she was 6 months. It was by far, one of our most memorable trips. If you are a Disney Visa holder, don't forget to take advantage of the daily character photo at DCA. We have some great photos of our little one playing with Pluto's nose. One of the best parts of that age is we didn't experience any fear of any of the characters. She loved and interacted with them all. Fairy Godmother was a hit! Another thing we did was take her for her first silhouette photo at 6 months. I'm guessing you know all about the Baby Care Center? If not, just ask. Have a great trip.

We go to Toon town just to take pictures. There all all sorts of great photo ops there. We always get a group shot by the fountain.
-
We take a picture of my youngest DD at the honeypots by pooh's corner every visit, and my older DD at the tea cups. They kinda chose these spots by themselves as it was their favorites on their first visit at 2 and 4.
-
Thanks everyone! This is getting me so excited! Ok, well, I was already excited. Now I'm MORE excited.
Any spots in DCA? It will be our first trip with the main drag and Cars land open.

At home in the hills
The entrance sign for Carsland makes a nice background.
Our every trip picture of just Whistler and I is with the waterfall on the backside of Grizzly River Run facing Bug's Land.
Hmmm, something for the kiddo? There is a Mike and Sully ride vehicle out in front of the ride. Or how about in front of Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story line.

Isn't there a Stanley statue in CarsLand? That one could be fun, too.

At home in the hills
Yes there is, that would be a good one. I was trying to think of something permanent that they could get close enough to. The bugs have all been moved around and are back a little far for scale purposes showing growth over the years. The Toy Story box cardboard box, they put in when Toy Story 3 came out was removed this trip.

Out of this world for Disney
Everywhere is our favorite photo spots! Its not usually until after we take all the pictures and get home and go through them we find which ones are our favorites from that trip. Sometimes one from someplace you wouldn't expect just turns out awesome. So we just take lots of pictures all over.
"Although we think it's DOPEY that Pluto has been downgraded to a dwarf planet, which has made some people GRUMPY and others just SLEEPY, we are not BASHFUL in saying we would be HAPPY if Disney's Pluto would join us as an 8th dwarf. We think this is just what the DOC ordered and is nothing to SNEEZE at."

If your family has a favorite animal that's in the Redwood Creek Challenge Area (they have some small "wooden" statues of 1/2 dozen or so animals - including a Beaver - great for a family of Oregon State grads) That might be another fun thing to get pictures with to show growth. (Dang it, should have done it with my nephews on their first trip. The not-yet-3 year old wore is Beaver Hat most of the time, too!)

Thanks everyone! I like the Stanley idea in Cars Land.

I take a picture every year of my DD "driving" Mickey's car just outside his house.

Our first family trip, my three youngest were arguing over who got to "drive" Goofy's car, while I was trying to take a picture. Along came Goofy who settled it by driving himself. Great picture resulted, he then hopped back out and was back on his way. (So right then and there they were the only ones with Goofy driving them

Not necessarily, you can always take a pic of the pic with your phone and then email it to yourself! or post it from your phone. And I agree, scanning takes alot of work, who has that kind of time?
We always take pics at the white rabbits door by alice too!
-
Aw, love the Goofy pic! I bet it's so cute!

Hahaha, you're funny
. Some of us don't have fancy schmancy phones. I also dislike the photo software on this computer, I can't get it to do what I want to be able to upload it here.
