Yes, our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 boys) stayed at Caribe Royale twice (in 2003, 2004) in the 2BR/2BA villas with full kitchen, washer/dryer and loved it! When we returned again in 2007 and 2008, however, we stayed at the newly opened Caribe Cove (no relation) because the same 2BR/2BA condo with full kitchen, washer/dryer was only $89 a night (Caribe Royale was about $200/night). The pool at Caribe Cove is very small, no slide or waterfall (like Caribe Royale) but for the price, it didn't matter to us at all. Caribe Cove also charges a one-time cleaning fee of about $70 or $75 regardless the length of your stay, so factor that into your pricing comparison. Would definitely check out Caribe Cove if we return to WDW. We always rented a minivan and never took or knew anything about transportation offered at either place.

I have stayed at Caribe Royale many times. It's our family of 5 favorite off site resort. They have two room types. First, the above mentioned (by njtravelerof6) 2BR/2BA that are like a condo but with one HUGE extra perk that most condos and even DVC stays (on points) don't have DAILY MAID SERVICE! As the person who is "the maid" in my family I love this about the Caribe Royale 2BR/2BA villas. The maids even do the dishes. To me this is worth the extra money if we can swing it over a vacation condo.

The other room type is a room with 2 queens (or a king) and a pull out sleeper sofa bed in a small living area. These have a dorm room size fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. These rooms sleep 6 and have only one bathroom.

The pool area here is wonderful, water slide, spa, pool bar and grill and a kiddie pool. They also have a very nice health club.

They do offer transportation to the parks but it's a few bus in the am and in the pm. They are not shared with other resorts. I would rent a car if I stayed here.

Another nice thing about this resort is there is no resort or parking fee which you will often find at many off site Orlando area resorts.

    Mily
