Booking dinner at EPCOT this Winter

As I've said in another thread, I'm taking the fam to WDW this Winter. We booked our restaurants 180 days out, when you're supposed to, except for one: Le Cellier Steakhouse at EPCOT. When we went to make reservations, the web-site said "No times available for Lunch". I called WDW and they said the computer hadn't been updated with available tables, which takes a while.

That was almost a month and a half ago. When I search around the calendar, this restaurant isn't available for any times (that I selected) after July. I've heard this place books fast, but I was on it the first possible day and have been checking frequently since. Either this place is closing with no notice, the web-site really is this far behind, or it got booked way fast either on the first day (and the phone guy didn't know) or between me checking.

So does anybody have any ideas about what might have happened, or what's happening? Anybody had this happened to them, where the place didn't open booking till weeks/months later?

It is changing to 2 table service credits for lunch as well as dinner at some point. I guess you got hit with them not taking reservations until a date change announcement for that. But that's a guess.

Or they blocked it out for Candlelight Processional packages?

I thought about Candlelight, but it's blocked for months. I can't find an empty seat from August-December, but I can find one for next week!

(No, I'm not re-scheduling my trip to next week)

If I may, I'd like to recommend Yachtsmans Steak House (at the Beach/Yacht Club resorts - not that far of a walk outside of EPCOT and "down the road" from Le Cellier - I'm guessing a 10 min. - maybe 15 min. walk? It's not far at all) if you are unable to book LeCellier?

Good luck with your booking attempts either way!

Thanks for the tip. I called in again. They said that lunches were booked for Candlelight, but I was able to get a dinner reservation. I still find it odd that every date I picked in the Fall was booked - I wonder if the web-site wasn't updated yet.

It's a very popular place and with free dining, and until 2013 lunch only takes 1 credit instead of 2. That would be my guess as to why lunch is harder to get. And once Candlelight Processoonal starts, LC is only offering CP packages at lunch time.
