I'd also like to know that and the tolls out to the Space Center. So excited to be heading there next week!
For tolls paid between Port Canaveral to WDW and then WDW going north towards Atlanta, my Sunpass reported under $8 of usage. I would say that if you keep $10 in small bills and change around, you would probably be ok.

Are these roads that can still be paid with cash or do you need the tollpass? I thought I had read that some of the Florida roads were getting rid of their actual toll-booths in favor of the all-electronic system.
I think it's just the ones farther South, currence.

In Central FL, it appears that you can still use cash. Its the more Southern portions of the toll systems that are cashless.
I just got the Sunpass Mini since we drive down more these days and it saves a lot of time and we pay less in tolls.

Do I need exact change? I know this doesn't seem like a big deal but we arrive with nothing less than a $50 note unless I get it changed by buying something at the airport. I know I asked this before the last trip but can't remember what we did.
You need some exact change (in coin) but I think most are 'manned' stations where they will make change for you -- but I don't know if they take $50 bills (a lot of places say no bills over $20). (Bill=Note in how the two of us are using it). Can you get a roll of quarters before you come over? That would be easiest. (And they're $10 per roll.) (But guessing probably not, because of the weight of shipping)
I would get something at the airport just to certain you had no hassles. Do you have a favorite 'U.S. Only' candy bar? Do you know what rental company you're getting your car from? There was a thread a little while back about what the different companies use so you don't have to have change.

A couple of my daughters borrowed my car last year to do some sightseeing around Orlando. All they had were $50 bills. The toll person WOULD NOT take it, but gave them a "ticket" that they had to pay. It had the toll charge + a "fine" for not paying the toll. They had to send the money to an address that was on the "ticket".
Most exits had manned stations or at least take change. However, some do not. (There are signs to that extent beforehand.) I do think the ones that you would be most interested in are manned, though.
In most cases, if you do not have exact change and you find yourself at an exit that only has an "exact change" lane, most toll systems will take more than exact change. Its just that you wont get any change back.

Thanks that's made me remember what I did last time. I somehow managed to get a roll of quarters. I wonder how I did it?!
If you remember, let me know too!!

These manned and unmanned booths are already stressing me out & I don't leave until October 28th! I'm just going to get the gadget added on to my rental cost & billed to my rental car. One mess up and I'd pay that much for a ticket anyway.
OK we were just there in may and drove to WDW CSr. yes there are toll booths, no they do not take anything over a 20 and are not happy to take the 20. Most of them were 75c cost i think one was a dollar and one a buck fifty. $1.50.
if you have the exact change you could go to the outside lane drop in the bucket and keep driving. or they had people to take your money.
Really it is not that bad, don't stress out about it.
2 quarters is 50c
3 quarters is 75c
4 a dollar
1 dollar bill and 2 quarters is a buck fifty. or $1.50
I know the above seems silly but it helps my Swedish cousins to write that down when they are here for the toll booths. easy to remember that way.
The best bet if you have a fifty, buy 2 sodas in the airport and then you'll have smaller change for the booths. Dollar bills are best.
I think it cost us around $ 6 to go to WDW and about $10 on the way back to airport, go figure that one.
good luck over the pond mp'ers!
Couldn't you just ask for a roll of quarters somewhere at the airport?
Working hard for that next WDW trip! December 2013
