DL/DCA 3 day hopper trip planning advice

I would love everyone's insight on the best way to utilize my 3 day hopper pass this September. We are going thur-fri-sat. My family consists of my husband, 4 yo son, 2 yo daughter and my 8 month old son. We definitely want to do RSR(for my 4yo & 2yo if she can) and the other cartland rides, WOC and the usual DL kid stuff. One additional factor, Mickey's Halloween party is taking place that Friday so DL will be closing early.
The only thing I was thinking, was doing RSR first thing Thursday and then other Carsland attractions, then head over to DL. Then possibly watching WOC Friday night since we will be kicked out of DL early. My concern is, will DCA be overly crowded on fri since others may think the same way? Should we try to do WOC on sat?
I know my kids are younger and will need breaks, but just trying to plan ahead!
    TIA!

Being thankful for the gift of time.

I'd be very surprised if your 2 year old is tall enough for the Racers. My 4 year old grandson of choice is barely at the height for them. You could double whammy the ride for your 4 year old by doing rider switch using fast pass and rider switch. Go get fast passes with 2 of your hoppers. go to the fast pass line and as for rider switch pass. One of the parents takes the 4 year old and rides. Get off the ride go switch with the parent who stayed off...that parent takes the 4 year old and goes back thru fast pass line...ride. Wait a while and go back and do it all over again on the original 2 fast passes. I think that really your crew are pretty young to make it til WoC but every kid is different. Friday the WoC will be extremely full due to the early close of Disneyland. IF it were me I'd try to do WoC on Saturday when Disneyland is open to help dilute the crowd level.

I'd do WOC on Thursday so you can do fireworks/Fantasmic on Saturday.

I forgot to mention that my mom is coming with me as well, just in case that matters...extra help withe youngest. Both of my older kids watched WOC last year, so I'm hoping that will happen again (they took a nap during the day). My daughter is pretty tall but Im going to measure her so just for reference.

With the rider swap, we would have to wait in fastpass line twice?

My DD just turned 2 and she is 37" (over the 95%) and that is still not tall enough for any of the big rides. If your daughter is almost 3, then maybe she is tall enough. The Racers is a 40" ride, just like the majority of the coasters. They are very strict on heights. The first time DD rode Gadget's coaster (ToonTown) in April she was able to ride twice, then we went back half an hour later and another lady measured her and said she wasn't tall enough. So she wasn't allowed to ride anymore that day. She went again the next day. They won't let her ride if she can't touch the bottom of the board with her feet flat.
