    Parking at resorts?

If you are staying on-site, can you go to different resorts...just to check out the resort? Do they allow you to park your car, or do you have to have dining reservations?

I read somewhere that "resort-specific" merchandise is beginning to reappear. I would like to go the resorts we have stayed at before and buy something.

    Thanks!

During times where higher-than-normal crowds are expected, parking will be restricted to guests staying at a resort or to guests with ADR's or other activity reservation. (This is especially the case for the Monorail resorts.) This will be noted on a sign at the front gate of the resort. Otherwise, you are normally allowed to park at the resort for a max of 3 hours to visit. We've done this many times ourselves.

Additionally, you can get to any resort from any park (or DTD) using Disney Transportation, which may be a better bet if there is any question about if parking restrictions are in place.

I think the restriction is pretty resort/timing/busyness specific, with the monorail resorts and Epcot area resorts with the biggest potential for restrictions.
For monorail resorts, I'd just ride the monorail around to them from the MK (plus, the monorail is a fun ride!)
For Epcot resorts, I'd just walk over there as a break on an Epcot day.
For the others, I'd state why you are arriving, and if there's an issue, they may give you a limited time permit.
Just make sure you've got your own resorts parking pass on your dashboard, and you'll be given less hassle.

That makes me excited that they're doing more resort-specific stuff again!

Me too! My favorite WDW souvenirs are the resort-specific ones.

I am so glad they are bringing resort specific merchandise back! I want to find some resort magnets to put on the freezer in the garage. I love to pull in and see my WDW magnets!

    Thanks for your replies!
