Same! I'm cruising there in August so I've been watching to see what beaches they go to. I've been to St. Thomas 2x already but have only gone to Meagan's Bay so I am looking to either go to another beach or go to St. Johns.

On St. Thomas, Coki Bay (adjacent to the Coral World sea park) is also popular, as is Lindquist Beach (aka Smith Bay Beach). Both of those are on the east end of the island. The only caution is to not go there after dark because of crime in the area, but since you'll be on a cruise that shouldn't be an issue.

Over on St. John, the most popular beach is Trunk Bay, but it can get crowded. Cinnamon Bay is a little closer to town and usually not crowded, but just as pretty as Trunk Bay.

Right now, So You Think You Can Dance, Burn Notice, Suits (another USA Network show - LOVE it!), and a few different things on Food Network. When the regular fall season comes along, add The Mentalist, CSI, and Person of Interest. In a more limited season, Survivor.

Myself and my boys watch Burn Notice. Love that show! My secret obsession is Vampire Diaries. My daughter and I watch Dance Moms and the new Cheer Perfection shows. Hubby and I watch Chopped And So You Think You Can Dance. Mostly I DVR stuff so I can skip the commercials.

Thank you! A little insider info!! I really appreciate it!

I think I am the only dancer who doesn't watch Dance Moms or SYTYCD. I have enough mama drama so I don't want to watch it, and I don't watch SYTYCD because I don't want to inhibit my choreography by watching others.

The only thing about Dance Moms that MIGHT be good for you -- is if the ones shown are way worse then your Moms (and I really hope they are), then you can maybe appreciate your small blessing there. But if the real life Moms you deal with are worse than the Dance Moms - that would be just super depressing and demoralizing. And since we can't tell you which way yours would fall - I think it's safer to not watch it.

(But I can say pretty positively that you're not the same personality type of either of the studio owners shown!)

I love Dance Moms but hate Miami. I think the first group, although they bicker and cause a lot of drama, the really want what is best for all the girls (even Maddie.... usually). The Miami moms are ruthless. I took it off my DVR because if it taped, I would watch, but I really hate it!

They make it look at lot worse, but yes it happens. I did have a bad problem this year but I told the family to leave. The dad kept "harassing" me indirectly on Facebook. I couldn't report him because he wasn't saying my name or doing it directly at me, but he wouldn't stop and when the last of his Facebook friends from my studio deleted him as a friend he kept private messaging them. He was saying horrible stuff about me too months after the fact. It's sad that adults act worse than children. Sometimes I wish I could just say to some parents 'This is for your kids. Not for you! If your kid is happy then stop getting involved.'

I also hate watching Dance Moms Miami. The choreography is HORRID. I don't understand how they win.

I don't like Dance Moms Miami much either. Aside from the little boys, those girls really are not that great of dancers and the costumes are always awful! I do like Victor though, he really cares about his kids and doesn't scream or demoralize them.

Yeah, I keep wondering about that. It is the same weird back archy, hands out, weird face move over and over again! And Kimmy's speech drives me nuts! I mean she is probably a sweet kid, but get the kid some speech lessons instead of so much dance!

Unfortunately that is where the competition scene is heading. Thrashing, incorrect technique (as long as you can nail the hard tricks), and awkward faces. It is more at the bigger competitions than the smaller, but it is slowly trickling in. I choreographed a classical routine to Beyond the Sea this last competition season and it did very well. It all depends on the judges. Hopefully those type of routines will be gone as quick as they came!

I can't wait til the newest season of Parenthood makes it to Netflix. I got hooked on that show when we first got streaming a few months ago so I have been waiting anxiously ever since! I finished the whole first season in like 2 days hahaha so I had to stretch out watching the second season. Harumphhh.

    Project Runway starts on Thursday!
I just hope I don't see the judges/producers favoritism showing through right away like last time. If I do, this may be the last season I watch. If it weren't for Tim Gunn, I'd probably not watch this season - but he adds such a level of sanity to the insanity in the project rooms, it's fun to watch just that interaction.

Thank you for the reminder!!! We should make a PR dedicated thread -- with SPOILER TAGS PLEASE!

I agree with you 100% about Tim Gunn. I think the producers of the show make it so obvious who they favor just in the editing. It is kind of...well...really obvious haha.

And I don't mind them editing for the producers favorites - -they're likely the more interesting television. It's when the deciding-who-to-stay-and-who-to-go is impacted that I am offended. (I think it was last year (maybe year before), the '4th place' person was eliminated because 'everything looked the same' yet they praised the person who won that round for her consistency in look and that you know it was her piece before being told.)

I just realized I haven't watched any TV in the past two months except for shows my nieces like! So lately, it's just been Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins and when I'm desperate for some peace, Yo Gabba Gabba.

But in the past six months or so, my sister and I have enjoyed Downton Abbey, New Girl, Glee and 2 Broke Girls. We were watching Raising Hope, but gave up on it, it just got worse. I still haven't finished watching the rest of Glee, I think I've got four more episodes.

Anyway, I don't know when we'll get back into TV, but I do know we are soooo looking forward to Downton Abbey's return!

Ooops Alex! I read that so fast I skipped the word Enterprise.
    I was just amusing myself.

I am planning a big renovation so I am watching all the shows on HGTV and DIY. I also found "4 Houses" which has an interesting premise. DVR has Big Bang Theory, Cake Boss, Project Runway, RuPaul's Drag Race, CSI: Las Vegas, Hawaii 5-0, Warehouse 13, anything with Joan Rivers.

and I agree with Capt Janeway. Voyager the ship, over Enterprise too.

Love Warehouse 13, but it is another one we don't get anymore.... (I just have to concentrate on the bill being 60 dollars less each month. ) I still have Food Network.

If you have patience and a good internet plan, you can watch Warehouse 13 on hulu.com a few weeks after it originally broadcasts. You can even set up an account so that it will tell you which of your favorite shows have new episodes. And at our house the computers are in the same room as the TV so we bought an extra-long cable and can watch stuff on the big TV through the computer. We usually don't miss cable.

I work in a very quiet office and sometimes need background noise. I have a lot of subscriptions to reasonably bad shows. The good shows I have to watch at home since they thwart my ability to concentrate on my work.

We don't have cable/satellite/etc but with our internet connection the kids watch episodes of Disney Junior on demand and I watch a lot of bad TV. I grew up without cable because it wasn't on our street yet and satellite TV either hadn't been invented or was prohibitively expensive. I swore I wouldn't do that to my kids and once they realized we were "different" I would get some form on TV subscription. But with all the availability on the internet I am not sure what we will do. Maybe I'll give the future teenager the choice of cable TV or a cell phone and see what is more important

Being in the Mountains, well Foothills, makes even local channels difficult. When I called to cancel our satellite all together, they down graded our programming to keep our local channels plus some other stuff (my kids said we cancelled all the good cartoon channels on purpose ) so I still get food network. With the tax and DVR charge its only 20 bucks.
Netflicks has Warehouse 13 on it, I just have to remember to look for it. I watch USA on their website, I think I have watched Warehouse 13 on theirs as well.
