Disneyland or bust!
Question about the Cars Land rides [expectant mothers]
I will be visiting the park later this week and have a quick question about the Cars Land rides that I can't seem to find an answer to. Does anyone know if they are safe to ride while pregnant? Most rides have it posted below their description under guest policies on the Disney website, but the Cars Land Rides all just had the description of the ride when I clicked on them and not the section on guest policies. If you could let me know how fast the rides are or if they really jerk you around that would be great (or if you have seen any restrictions for pregnant women at the ride itself). I'm not showing yet so a harness would not be a problem, but I just want to be sure it is safe. Thanks in advance!

Oddly enough I found the answer on the Disney World mobile site. Do they have this ride at WDW?
Anyway, it turns out MousePlanet already answered this question:

Thanks AdrienneK!

I am pregnant and rode Maters. It was fine. The others say not too.
So my job was fast pass getter.

Question about the Cars Land rides [expectant mothers]
I would be more apt to ride RSR before I'd ride Mater pregnant. There was a pregnant lady in front of us on RSR and she rode it. It looked like she was 6 or 7 months.

Sorry, I found the info for Luigi's on the WDW mobile site. I kind of assumed it would be a given that RSR would have the expectant mothers warning.

Loving my sweet pea.
I'm over 6 months and I rode Luigi's and and Mater's. Neither are a problem. Luigi's expectanct mommy warning is, well, *really* erring on the side of caution. It is so gentle. We did collide with other tires at a good clip and there was no problem at all. I think Mater's puts much more force on one's body than Luigi's. Maybe if you capsized your tire there would be an issue, but I'm *pretty* sure that isn't going to happen.
And to be honest, I came *this close* to attempting RSRs, but waited for my hubby's review. He said there were some g forces going on, and we both decided it wasn't worth it. I honestly don't think it would hurt the baby in a completely healthy pregnancy, but a 4 minute ride isn't worth any risk.
And I know I'm flying in the face of the warning on Luigi's, but it really is much tamer than Mater's, even with colliding. It isn't the same type of impact as a bumper car, if that helps.

Agree that the collisions on Luigi's are much tamer than on Mater's (depending on whether you ride Mater's with someone and how big that someone is). Mr. Tea accidently slid into me full force on Mater's and it really hurt! (I was caught off guard, so that didn't help.) Luigi's tires are pretty spacious and move slowly, especially when you're in a traffic jam of tires. Mater's has no padding on the seats or sides, so brace yourself and be prepared.

So, was the Pickles & Ice Cream TOO out of left field? Because I amused myself a lot with that one...

I agree with you about Luigis. I think you would have to be a seasoned rider to be able to make it go fast enough to do anything. You'd probably be most uncomfortable leaning over to get the beach balls and that is definitely avoidable.

Me too. And as someone expecting I LOVE both pickles and ice cream. Granted not together in any way, shape, or form but separately...O.M.G. It's a joke with everyone because I crave all things Disney snacks right now. I so wish a weekend trip was in our budget so I could go eat churros, caramel apples, pomme frittes, churros, beignets, a giant pickle, a pretzel with cheese, pancakes, and did I mention a churro!!! I tried to eat one at Costco to get a fix but it wasn't even a little bit good. Disneyland is like a pregnant womans dream for food cravings.
