Yes. Check in just gets you a sequence in the boarding pass line. You can also (after checking in online as normal) print your pass at the airport. It's near the luggage check in here in Denver.

Pretty much every airline lets you check in online and then allows the printing of the boarding pass at the airport. Its not a problem at all. Its just easier to have the boarding pass in your hand so you can bypass that step at the airport.
The search function is like the Force. It may take practice, but the more you use it, the more control you will have over it!
We have even done check in on DH's phone and reprinted boarding passes at the airport.

Also, if you're near your hotel or don't have a web enabled phone, you can do it at the resort guest services - or guest services in the parks. I've done it in Epcot multiple times - they actually have/had a separate room with a printer right there so you could do it.

You can also pay (I think) $10 to upgrade your Southwest ticket & it will give you an automatic check-in so you'll be a low A number. You'd only have to do this for one person in your party, and have that person save seats. iPhone has an app for SW to make check-in easy.
While I have no issues with that, I did witness a couple of individuals get a little testy with someone trying to save seats once. If you're farther back, and you're only saving 2 seats, it will probably be easier, but If one person is trying to save 5 more seats for people with C boarding passes at the exit row, it may not stay super friendly.
To only pay for one person's EBCI fee to get one person in on the A boarding then send them in in hopes of savings those priority seats for ppl in B and C check in you may not have very good luck.
If you are sitting down and only trying to save the 2 seats next to you for your 2 family members coming in a few minutes, nobody will probably say anything, but if you were trying to save 3 or 4 seats in 2 different rows,well, you can''t do that. Ppl who paid the upgraded Early Bird Check in fee get the option of picking whatever seats they want to sit in and that may possibly include the seats you think you are going to save for your family straggling along back in C boarding. I don't see many A class boarders letting you save too many seats if they were seats the A boarders want to sit in. The rule is if you want A boarding YOU ALL pay the EBCI fee and all board together.
Trying to pay for one but reap the benefits of it for 3 or 4 more ppl is kind of borderline cheating the system. They charge those EBCI fees to benefit the folks who want priority boarding and want to get on the plane first and pick their prime seats. But if you are the only one who paid the fee then technically you are the only one entitled to pick your own seat and nobody else that didn't pay the EBCI is entitled to just choose prime seats.
That's why I pay the $10 EBCI fee for each person in my party and I pay it for both legs, going and coming. That way SW checks me in 36 hours prior to departure and my resort prints my boarding passes and hangs them on my door really early on the day we fly out. Or they did last time. And of course I had very high A boarding privelages because I paid the EBCI for my whole family.
I prefer to get on a plane and pick our seats some where in the first 5 or 6 rows as close to the front of the plane as possible. You are closer to the attendant if you need something, you are closer to the bathroom and when it is time to deplane you can just grab your stuff and you are out the door. You dont have to wait for an entire plane full of ppl to get past.
So I will always steer ppl in the right direction as far as paying for the EBCI fee with SW because it benefits the whole family getting to jump right on the plane ahead of everybody else and pick your top choice seats. It's a service that I wouldn't fly without. It's worth every penny. With 5 of us sitting together I would to ensure that all 5 of us can sit in two rows right across from each other and very close to the front of the plane. We accomplish that with EBCI. It costs us $50 total for our outbound flights and $50 for our inbound flights. That's just a drop in the bucket to what my whole vacation costs.
And for those who don't really care where they get stuck on a plane and don't mind sitting way back in the back and having to wait 45 minutes while everyone else in front of you deplanes...good for you. I couldn't do that.

I didn't realize there were 5 in your party, so yes, you might get the stink-eye from others! It still might be a good investment if you don't want to deal with checking in online. You could also ask a friend or relative at home to do it. Just remember the time zone times, if they are different from home.
