Disneyland Triathlon-will it be brought back?

    Hello!

I was wondering about the now (seemingly) abandoned Disneyland triathlon. It seems like it was done away with when the lagoon in DCA had to be drained, but now that all of the construction in the park has wrapped up, does anyone think or know if it will come back next year??

    I hope so!

    Thanks!

I don't think they could do it now with all of the World of Color fountain infrastructure that's in the bay. RunDisney also stopped hosting the triathlon in Florida too, so it seems like they are not interested in those types of races right now.

    Agreed.

The last Tri that I know of that took place at DCA was through Danskin.

There's no body of water large and safe enough to host that many swimmers through.

The Rivers of America are supposedly VERY unsanitary, the Submarine lagoon has all of the ride elements, and the World of Color equipment take the Paradise Pier Bay out of the equation as well. Even if they re-installed and expanded Michael Phelps' Main Street lap pool, it wouldn't be able to accomodate the number of people who would probably compete.
