Fastest (and maybe cheapest) way to get from LGB to DLR?

    Hello,

I am flying into LGB for the first time because of a very cheap flight. I didn't look into how I would get to DLR until after I booked the flight!

From LAX, I usually take the Disneyland shuttle bus, and from SNA, I usually do Prime Time. What is the best option from LGB? I arrive at 9:30 am on a Thursday morning, and am hoping to get to DL as fast as possible, as I plan on immediately hitting the parks.

Supershuttle has a "Disneyland Shuttle" https://www.supershuttle.com/Locatio...rtShuttle.aspx for $35 each way. It looks like the DLR hotels are dropped off first, I am staying at Del Sol, but figure I can just walk and get off early if it will take forever to get me to the hotel. Does anyone know if this is direct? Approximately how long do you think it will take at that time of the day to get to the DLR?

What about Payless Shuttle? It is only $15...which seems too good to be true. Does anyone have experience with this? I tried calling to see about the time and the number is disconnected, which is never a good sign!

Primetime is $37 each way...but guessing it will take longer than the Supershuttle because it will drop random people off on the way?

Thanks for any advice or thoughts!

    Kimberly

We used a taxi. For 4 it was our cheapest option. It was $45 flat rate from Long Beach. It is about 20 minutes with no traffic. We arrived slightly later than you (10:30 arrival) and had no traffic. The taxi would be direct if you are really concerned about how many stops the shuttle might make. Our hotel called for a taxi on the return trip so it was a different company, we paid the meter rate of $63. You could always arrange Super Shuttle for the return trip.

    Thanks for that tip.

I guess I should add it is just me coming in, so probably will try and stear clear of the taxi due to cost.

If anyone has any experience with the Super Shuttle Disneyland bus it would be appreciated!

We rent a car. The rental rates at LGB tend to be quite a bit lower than at LAX, and with a car you have the ability to go pick up groceries or dine offsite.

You might want to call the Del Sol just to see if they have any deals with car services, shuttles, taxi companies, etc. Sometimes the hotel can get you a better deal through them (they may have a coupon code as well) than you could get on your own. Worth a try at any rate.
