Free Dining for the Holiday Season?

Has anyone heard about free dining offers for the month of November or December?

    Thanks!

    It's a little early.

This site offers historical data of when offers were released in the past: http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html

However, pay very close attention to the warning about planning your budget way in advance - it might lead to disappointment, especially since Disney has stated that they will be offering fewer discounts in the future.

The site owner is very clear that she offers this info for estimating purposes only.

There is a PIN code floating around that include Novemeber and December dates (much more limited dates than previous years I hear). It's possible that will carryover to a public discount, but probably not until August.

Free Dining for the Holiday Season?

One thing to think about though is that you should be making your adr's now regardless if you are waiting for a discount of sorts.

The search function is like the Force. It may take practice, but the more you use it, the more control you will have over it!

    ^ Nice catch GusMan!

I'm going in early December and already did mine, but never thought to mention it to the OP. (And it goes almost without saying that if the OP ends up not going, all ADRs should be cancelled and freed up for others.)

You may want to check with travel agents now for free dining in November/December. My mom just got a solicitation in the mail soliciting that very thing and is valid on select arrival dates.

    DLR - 02/01 off site
    WDW - 10/06 POR, 10/07 BCR, 12/08 POR, 9/09 BWR, 12/10 YCR, 12/11 BWR, 12/12 BWR, 10/13 BWR
DCL - 9/09 Eastern (Magic), 11/10 Western (Magic), 11/11 Bahamas (Dream), 8/12 Nowhere (Magic), 12/12 Eastern (Fantasy), 5/13 Caribbean (Wonder)

This is very likely a pin code which 3P1P very ably addresses in Post #3 above and quoted below. Pin codes are not transferable and not available through travel agents.

The free dining offers for the UK 2012 vacations have been and gone now but they did include December dates. There is usually a degree of correlation between US/UK free dining they just come out here earlier and disappear earlier! Our 2013 free dining dates are now out. Stays between 1st Jan and 19 March and 7 April and 8 December. Pretty much all year apart from Easter and Christmas. Quick service at moderates, regular plan at deludes. Nothing at values.

Either the link that you gave is incorrect or the blog owner has removed the link about the rumored free dining for September - December.

I think the blog owner took it down -- they had a bad link in another posting to the same page.

For purely selfish reasons, I hope they don't have it. My sister and I don't do the dining plan (especially during the Food & Wine festival) and it really can crowd up the few ADRs that we will make (that we don't make until we decide if there are special luncheons or dinners or pairings, etc as part of the festival). I'd much prefer if they came out with a room-only discount!

^http://www.mouseplanet.com/10047/Wal..._Resort_Update has the latest rumor (with dates) on this subject. It is noted in the update that the dates are not officially confirmed.

It might be best if you go ahead and make some ADRs very soon and then cancel or amend them as you can.

Which is usually a best practice anyway. By now, ADR's for the most desired places, during this rumored timeline, are starting to fill up. And if a rumor like this gets wider-spread, they will fill up even faster.

Wow - There are quite a few gaps in those "free dining" dates, if you ask me.
Not to mention that they are excluding those staying in a whole section of the AoA resort.

I think that may be because that section doesn't open until Sept - and I'm betting it's full for the first few months without any discounts (it's the only 'standard' room area of the resort, too - they want those people to go to Pop or All Stars if they want a discount). Plus, I'd rather have them state up front that there were no rooms available, vs calling up and trying multiple combinations when there were just a few rooms available each day at a resort.

I completely agree with that for sure. But even then, I think its the first time I've ever heard them mention something like that as an exception. (Well, for me at least.)

I don't remember them doing it ever, either. But did they even have the dining plan when the last new resort opened?

I re-booked today for a December 18-28 trip to get the free dining offer. Had to change from POFQ to POR, but we saved a lot of money.
