Wow - I was just a few feet away from you in front of the Canada pavilion. We got the fallout at the end of the special finale (which was freakin' incredible!) - a rainfall of ash everywhere (including in my drink!!!).

I was able to get down to the last couple of sips before I was overwhelmed by the little ash-bits there. Ticked me off, too, but I still enjoyed the fireworks!

On Friday night, we ate at Wave at Contemporary, then went to look for fireworks. Parents stayed on 4th floor deck. That not being good enough for me, I climbed the stairs up to the 7th or so stair deck to watch and take pics. The extra launch sites for the Halloween show made those very cool too.

I didn't get to eat a whole lot at Food & Wine over the weekend since lines were long and we had a pretty packed schedule. I did have the spinach and paneer pocket at South Africa and thought it was really tasty. I also liked the empanada from Argentina. The beer sampler from Germany was good, and a pretty good value.

so...much...food...and we still managed to eat at Tokyo Dining and Restaurant Marrakesh as well! And I snuck into the shop at Norway for a chocolate mousse cake slice! Others said the shredded beef from Argentina was the best, but alas I did not try it. Crispy shrimp taco was awesome, beef empanada was very good, pretzel bun brats were great, Polish pirogie and sausage was good, chicken chipotle sausage from Canada was spectacular, fried cheese from Greece was very tasty...

I did the MNSSHP for the first time ever last week. I mainly wanted to see the parade and the fireworks, both of which were pretty cool, especially as you mentioned the extra launch sites. Very very cool, but really crowded!!!

I do too, Nick! (But I do rate everything I try - but this year it's not going to be helpful for others, since I'm going the last week and a half of the festival.)

Next time I plan a EF&WF trip, it will be later on for some cooler weather. And maybe I'll wait for the list of presenters and such. I am bummed I didn't get to meet Alison Victoria... And also on the concert list. It was cool to see Night Ranger, playing acoustic. Long live 80s rock!

But you really can't COUNT on it being cooler or not. One year, there were record highs on Sat and Sun, and record lows on Tuesday.
And they release the different presenters and bands at different times - but I think most (definitely the bands and the presenters you have to pay for) by the time they have sign ups for the signature and other special events. That varies from year to year, but is usually in July or August.

Yup, FL weather is predictable in only one way, humidity will be high and it will prolly rain! In Colorado they say if you don't like the weather,, wait 20 mins... When I lived in Tampa in 2004, I wore shorts working outside on the house in December!

Our weather does change suddenly.
Our weather tagline here is "What unusual weather we're having!" We've lived here four years and we're still hearing that on a regular basis. The weather here is never expected, it's always unusual.

This is a 'regular' offering, but it's a 'new' beer, so I thought I'd put it here:
http://www.wesh.com/themeparks/disne...z/-/index.html
The Japan pavillion will be serving draft Kirin with an ice-cream-like-but-made-from-beer swirl on top.
This is likely to be on our list of things to try this trip, along with all the other goodies!

Food & Wine 2012
I had a beer float at Red Robin a few weeks ago and it was goo-ood. So I will probably be trying this, too. I guess I'll focus a little more on the wine portion of the festival, since I want to be careful chewing. Any excuse!
