Candlelight Processional Package
Since this will be our first time seeing Disney during the holiday season, we want to be sure and get a seat for the show in Epcot. So I think we're going to go ahead and do the pkg. I have a few Qs about the pkg.
-First, from what I can tell I can't book the pkg yet. Am I right? Just want to be sure I'm not missing it.
-Do we have a limited menu or do we order from the same menu everyone else does? Also, do we get to pick which show we want to see that day?
-We will have our just shy of 5yr old daughter and our 2yr old son with us. We're considering leaving them with grandparents during the show, because I'm concerned they will not sit through. Would you recommend we leave them or take them to the show? How long is the show? Also, if we leave them with grandparents but bring them to the meal, will we still have to buy the show pkg for them at the restaurant or can we do 2 CP pkgs and 2 non-CP pkgs on one res? If we have a split res, can they go to the vip viewing area with us for the fireworks?
-If we do the meal pkg for the show, how early should we arrive?
Thanks in advance! And sorry if a missed a thread discussing all of this. I didn't see answers to my specific questions. I know I've asked a lot of questions about the subject, but I don't wanna miss anything. We are looking so forward to our visit!

The first item in this week's WDW Update talks about Candlelight. I was going to copy the important stuff, but there's a link in there you may want to see. I think the link embedded in the article may have info about what's included - but I think you order off the regular menu - you just order three courses? It's been a while since I've done it.
ADRs are avaliable starting Tuesday, June 26th.
Your show time and meal time are linked. You should select your show time, and from there you have the window for meals.
When you need to arrive at the theater is dependent on if you must sit in the front or not. You can ask when you arrive for your meal what time they generally start seating people for the show, and try to arrive at least 10 minutes before that time. I'd consider that about the latest I'd try to be in line (and the line can get long, but it does move wants they start seating people, but everyone in that line WILL have a seat).
I doubt you can split up your ADR into CP and nonCP - and I think you'd need to have had the package for every one who wants to go to the Illuminations viewing area. That's not to say that the kids would have to watch Candlelight with you, though. Especially if you didn't do the last show - I don't know how easy it would be logistically to deal with the transfer from the Grandparents. Plus sometimes those viewing areas can get crowded and not be kid-friendly, so there might actually be a better place to watch the show with the kids, particularly if you're not visiting on Christmas week and are visiting on a week day.
ETA: I just checked the prices from last year for Garden Grill -- I didn't realize there was QUITE the premium for the seating that there was last year (35.99 for an adult dinner regularly; 52.99 for the package, though I don't know if the regular price includes a non-alcoholic drink or not).

I try so hard not to be ticky-tacky with people's spelling mistakes, or when they use "their" instead of "they're", etc. But I had to call special attention to someone who could use "wants" for "once". Nicely done, my friend!

I think there's something wrong with my brain wiring - I've been doing a lot of those lately! (I usually catch them before I hit submit, though!)

some imagination, huh?
we did the CP package last year and had a few people in our party who didn't want to do see CP but we all wanted to have dinner together. we made one ressie for the CP package and then made a regular ADR for the rest of our party as close to the CP dining time as we could. We checked in a bit early for our meal and told the CM that we had the two separate reservations. They were able to seat us all together but I was told when i called prior that it was not guaranteed that we would be seated together.
