With your small children, make sure to have some water bottles and snacks in a backpack. Also, make sure to just find a nice shady place and rest. The older family members will probably want rests throughout the day too.

I think one of the most important things to remember is that you as the leader cannot make everyone happy. And trying to do so will result in lots of unnecessary stress. Knowing when to stay together and when to have private time apart (and each group has its own balancing point here) is key. Especially make sure that you get some down time to decompress each day! Also, since you still have plenty of time before your trip, maybe you can plan some get togethers (or even online chats) to discuss who wants to do what, delegate (!!!) if you have that luxury, and generally get everyone even more excited together. Go over recent maps to make sure that every grown up knows where the first aid stations are in each park (also guest services, baby center, etc.) -- just in case of emergency -- and make sure that everyone knows the designated meeting spot for lost grown ups/kids. Get lots of photos (Photopass and your own) -- this will be a trip to remember! And, most importantly, in the midst of all the planning, don't forget to have fun!

I would have an plan and email it 30 days in advance, and that way everyone will know who wants to stay late or be involved in a certain activity. I'm going that week as well good luck!
